In today’s news, China funds emergency food distribution in Zambia, US study links urinary tract infections with consumption of animal-people meat, UK wildflower planting project restores rare habitats, European Union provides funding for work focused on net-zero technology, teacher in United States develops 3D-printed prosthetic hand for student, New Zealand vegan non-profit holds Vegan Pie Awards, a competition celebrating eight years of innovation, and Canadian polar bear-person enjoys giant pumpkin feast.

Just cleaned up a few handy jobs around the house and now it’s time for a revitalizing vegan dinner. Before I do, here’s a DIY tip to share with you. Need to connect two poles at a perfect 90-degree angle for a small frame, sculpture, or decorative project? A single zip tie can do the job quickly and neatly. Start by placing the two poles in position forming a cross or “T”. Slide the zip tie underneath the first pole, then bring it up and over the second pole, giving it a twist as you cross the top. Twist it once more so the flat side of the zip tie returns to its original orientation. This double twist is important because it helps align both poles, prevents rotation, and adds stability. Once aligned, pull the tie tight, the tension naturally pulls the poles into a firm 90-degree angle. It’s a simple trick that avoids bulky brackets or clamps, perfect for temporary builds, décor, or lightweight structures. Just keep in mind that heavier or load-bearing structures should be reinforced with stronger fasteners for safety.

It’s now time to exercise your laugh muscles! Here’s today’s joke, “The Flute Fix.”

Zander was talking to Haylee…

“My little brother has a gift for playing instruments. My father bought him a guitar, and every day this week, he has constantly played it and sang along. Yesterday, my dad put away the guitar for good and gave him a flute instead. Do you know why?”

“Why?”

“Because though my brother plays the guitar beautifully… his singing talents don’t quite match.”

?!

And now we have a heartline in Aulacese (Vietnamese), with multiple-language subtitles, from Thùy Dung in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam
