Researchers from the China Agricultural University, and Leiden University in the Netherlands, published an article in the journal, Nature Food, highlighting that transitioning to a plant-based diet would increase the stability of our food system. By studying land and population in the UK and European Union, it was found that this shift would reduce food requirements equal to the agricultural loss from both Russia and Ukraine (Ureign) due to the war.
Going plant-based will also reap benefits, such as improved environmental and population health across high-income nations, as well as lower emission levels, reduce water use, raise health standards, and increase natural areas.
The research also underlined that raising animal-people for food consumes 30 to 60% of crops that could be fed to people and occupies 80% of all agricultural land.
Thank you, China Agricultural University, and Leiden University for your publication on the importance of an urgent switch to a benevolent, planet-saving plant-based diet. May all people make the change swiftly and live a healthy and prosperous life, in Heaven’s grace.
