Venerable Supreme Master Ching Hai! The administration of Poltava State Agrarian University expresses its deep respect and gratitude for Your mission to promote healthy eating and an ecological lifestyle for people on planet Earth. As You know, Ukraine and our people are going through difficult times due to the war. But, thanks to the Universe, the Goddess of Mercy Quan Yin Bodhisattva, our university was visited by volunteers from The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association, who held a workshop for students and staff of our university on the “Plant-based diet - the way to a healthy and environmentally friendly life.” The seminar was initiated by Alexandr Kulakov, the director of the National Development Fund, who organized the arrival of representatives of Your Association’s to our university.
During the seminar-workshop, Your enlightened professionals acquainted the participants with the benefits of plant-based nutrition for human health and environmental conservation. They also shared the principles of veganism and taught our students and faculty how to prepare delicious and healthy vegan dishes. The seminar concluded with a tasting of vegan sushi, burritos, and banana pie. Following the seminar-workshop, a group of students and faculty members formed an interest group dedicated to exploring the philosophy of veganism in society. Representatives of Your Association created a WhatsApp group with our students and teachers, where they share various information about veganism and climate change.
In order to get to know the initiative group of our university more closely, the volunteers of The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association visited our university once again. During this visit, they organized a vegan barbecue picnic for the initiative group and representatives of the university administration at our student camp on the banks of the Vorskla River.
Our university’s rector, Professor Oleksandr Halych, fully supports vegan initiatives and has agreed to invite representatives of the Kyiv Loving Hut café to come in September and prepare vegan dishes in our university’s cafeteria for several weeks, offering them to a wide range of our students and staff. At the concluding meeting, the university rector, Professor Oleksandr Halych, suggested that Your Association consider the possibility of opening a Loving Hut café on our university premises.
Taking this opportunity, I would like to once again thank You, Supreme Master Ching Hai, and all representatives of Your organization for all the good deeds You have already done for our students and staff, and express hope for further fruitful cooperation between Poltava State Agrarian University and The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association.
