Today, we are going to travel to Newark, New Jersey, and visit Darius Brown, the young generous designer and founder of Beaux & Paws. Darius has selflessly helped rescue hundreds of dogs by making bow ties, and donating them to animal shelters across the United States and in the United Kingdom. “Speech, comprehension and fine motor skills delay” is a disorder that affects children, causing a developmental delay of movement and posture. This leaves children with coordination substantially below that of others of the same age and intellectual levels. Teenager Darius Brown, diagnosed at the age of 2 with "motor skills delay,” has come to show the world that all children, regardless of their differences, may make an impression on the world. “When I was eight years old, my sister used to make hair bows and I would always want to follow my sister's footsteps until I realized when I was younger, I had a comprehension delay, and a fine motor skills delay. My mom came up with an amazing idea of me cutting the fabric to help with my motor skills delay, and then once I started to play around [with] the fabric, I made my own way of making bow ties.” “The vision I have for my organization is that I see my business expanding into an empire, and also hopefully having my own stores. And I also want to have my own adoption center.” “I have all the hope in the world for animals because I believe that all animals have a safe place to live and have a nice home.” Upon hearing of his beneficent actions, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Happily present the Shining World Compassion Award to Darius Brown, along with US$10,000 to chip in for this caring endeavor, with love and gratitude.” “It's a great honor to be receiving the Shining World Compassion Award from Supreme Master Ching Hai. This award is just amazing. It will also be benefiting me as the supplies for making the bow ties. It will also be saving thousands and thousands of dogs lives and other animals lives as well.”
