In Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association News from Taiwan (Formosa)…

On September 20, 2025, our Association members in southern Taiwan (Formosa) organized a vegan march and a peaceful sit-in at Kaohsiung’s Fengshan Sports Park. Over 1,700 people from across Taiwan (Formosa) participated, including members of our Association, vegan advocacy groups, and government representatives. Together, they called for a Vegan Law that would promote a plant-based diet, protect animal-people, and support sustainable plant-based agriculture.

Rising to the call for action, advocates of all ages, accompanied by their furry co-supporters, marched through the streets of Fengshan District in bright yellow shirts printed with slogans like ‘Go Vegan to Save the Earth.’ The long line of parade participants stretched across city blocks, waving vibrant signs and banners and voicing powerful vegan statements.

The procession concluded with a silent meditation for the government and citizens to awaken to the suffering and destruction caused by animal-people livestock raising and to support compassionate, sustainable policies for all life. In addition, the event featured 27 vegan food stalls, offering participants and the public the chance to savor the delicious diversity and joy of plant-based eating.

Since April, our Association members in Kaohsiung have been promoting messages like “Go Vegan to Prevent Catastrophes” at 70 major bus stops across the city. In September, additional messages, such as “Animals are Friends, Not Food; Love and Peace Begin with Veganism,” were also displayed at bus shelters and park billboards to echo the event.

We sincerely thank all officials, organizers, and participants for their united efforts in advancing toward a vegan Taiwan (Formosa). With deep gratitude to our Most Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) for Her loving guidance, may the growing call for veganism kindle courage and kindness in hearts across the globe, inspiring all to protect life and nurture a peaceful vegan world, in the Almighty’s eternal Blessings.
