In 1864, US President Abraham Lincoln declared Thanksgiving to be a public holiday. As such, Thanksgiving has come to be regarded as a time for people to reflect on, and give thanks for their good fortune and blessing. Unfortunately, over the years the eating of turkeys has been associated with the holiday. However, more and more young ones are choosing the kind-hearted, cruelty-free, vegan diet. And there are several children’s book that convey the message that turkeys are to be cherished and shown love. We will take a look at children’s book about turkeys and Thanksgiving-day.
