European Parliament approves strategy to shift away from intensive animal-people factories.
The European Union’s European Parliament recently approved the “Farm to Fork Strategy” report, which will guide the continent’s move away from large-scale animal-people factories and towards environmentally friendly organic and plant-based agriculture. The plan stresses that industrial animal-people raising increases the risk of zoonotic diseases spreading and seeks to prohibit the caging of people from the animal kingdom in such operations possibly by 2027.
The report acknowledges that the current food system is not within the bounds of planetary sustainability and that the new path will transition Europe’s food consumption patterns toward plant-based and away from meat and ultra-processed products.
The European Union is a recipient of four Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Earth Protection; as well as a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism and Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring.
Great news, European Parliament, on your vote to shift towards a sustainable, organic, plant-based agricultural system. In Divine benevolence, may your strategy be quickly implemented as your noble and compassionate ideals spread across the world, so we may restore the health of our planetary home.
