Being vegan is just the best way to live. I’m happier every day because I respect all my friends. I would like to share a tip on how to make healthy and tasty low sugar, salt, and high-fructose corn syrup ketchup in just five minutes. Warm up 5 milliliters (1 teaspoon) of oil in a pan and add 200 grams (7 ounces) of tomato paste, 8 grams (2 teaspoons) of onion powder (or 1 medium fresh onion) and 2 grams (½ teaspoon) of garlic powder (or 1-2 garlic cloves) and briefly sauté. Deglaze this with 160 milliliters (⅔ cup) of water and bring the pan to a boil. Add 15-30 milliliters (1-2 tablespoons) of apple cider vinegar, 30 milliliters (2 tablespoons) of maple syrup, 4 grams (1 teaspoon) chili and 4 grams (1 teaspoon) of salt and cook for approximately five minutes. Taste and add more seasoning as needed.
When cooked, pour the ketchup into a clean jar with an adequate seal and allow it to cool. Store your new homemade ketchup in the fridge— it will last up to a week or more. Enjoy your healthier creation with your vegan burgers and fries! Bon appétit!
