The melodic chirps of the bird-people often create a harmonious balance of mind and connect us more closely to Mother Nature. Today’s Shining World Award program features a devoted bird-person lover from Hungary who has spent more than a decade creating a nurturing environment for swallow-people. He uses environmentally friendly materials to build well-camouflaged nests for swallow-people. His initial efforts began with the construction of 10 nests and continued with many more over the years. Today he has a total of 430 nests under the eaves of his house. The earthy color of the tiny bird-people’s homes has attracted many swallow-persons to breed during the mating season. “They are in a terribly difficult situation building nests because even in the smallest village everything is paved. They can't find the right quality of mud. It's full of fine gravel and sand; They can't glue it together. Then there is no chance of nesting in time. And from the end of June, the salivary gland in their throat dries up and they can't glue the nest or the mud together. In the first place, that pair can't breed, unless they find such a place.” “So there are many, many bird lovers now. And they help them. My message to the people who love nature or want to help birds is to try to save them in any way they can, whether it's by building nests, feeding them, and the best way is to provide nesting sites.” Upon hearing about his compassionate deeds, our most Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gladly present Ferenc Matics the Shining World Compassion Award plus US$10,000 to humbly contribute to this lifesaving effort. In Heaven's Mercy with big hugs, love, and thanks. May you and the elegant bird-people be in God’s Blessing always.”
