The free service Finding Rover is an app that uses facial recognition technology to match pictures of lost dogs and cats with new shelter arrivals or found pets to help reunite them with their caregivers. Meanwhile, in Beersheba, Israel, researchers at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev have developed a modified dog vest that makes it possible to train dogs to respond to commands without saying a word.
