For the first time ever, a robot named Ai-Da, that was manufactured in the United Kingdom, gave a speech to and answered questions from Britain’s House of Lords members. She spoke about the role of technology in creative industries, and helped the audience to understand how an artificial intelligence-driven robot views the world. Ai-Da was produced by a range of engineers and artists from the nation, and utilizes cameras in her eyes to see the world. She can create paintings, drawings, sculptures, and even pottery. Ai-Da told the members in attendance, “I do not have subjective experiences despite being able to talk about where I am and depend on computer programs and algorithms who are very not alive. I can still create art.”
Such a remarkable event and congratulations, Ai-Da, engineers and scientists, on the recent speech given in the House of Lords. In Celestial creativity, may the future path of our technological development be in a direction that advances the planet and all beings.
