The state of Virginia in the USA has recently banned the testing of cosmetics on animals, as well as the sale of any beauty products previously tested on animals. The Virginia Humane Cosmetics Act was introduced by state legislators The Honorable Jennifer Boysko and The Honorable Kaye Kory, and was signed by Virginia Governor The Honorable Ralph Northam.
It will go into effect on January 1, 2022. Sara Amundson, President of the Humane Society Legislative Fund, praised the new law, saying that cosmetic companies are listening to consumer demand and lawmakers are “solidifying these changes into permanent policy.”
Virginia is now the fourth state in the US to enact this prohibition. Bravo, Senator Jennifer Boysko, Delegate Kaye Kory, Governor Ralph Northam and Virginia! Your humane actions lead to the sparing of many animal lives and herald a new loving age, in Celestial peace.
Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Respectfully present the Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion to the Government of Virginia, with high salute and gratitude for protecting the innocent animals. May God bless you and reward you multifold.”
