The United Nations provides vital assistance to Rohingya refugees.
The United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Mark Lowcock, released US$14 million from the UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) to aid more than 45,000 individuals displaced by a fire that engulfed the world’s largest refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. Most of those displaced were Rohingya refugees. The funds will help provide shelter, water, food as well as other necessities and emergency services. At least 11 people lost their lives, more than 500 have injuries, and approximately 400 are missing. Also, over 10,000 structures including shelters, mosques, community centers and important health, nutrition, and education structures were destroyed. The United Nations is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership Award for Humanitarianism and two Shining World Leadership for Lives-Saving-Hero Awards. Our sincere gratitude, and Heaven’s blessings United Nations! May the Divine grace the Rohingya refugees and everyone affected by the fire with much love and comfort as we pray for a stable and hopeful future for all in need.
Research shows every vegan saves over 100 animals annually.
A study by United States-based nonprofit Animal Charity Evaluators assessed that on average, a person adopting a vegan diet saves the lives of nearly 105 animals each year. Of the lives spared, approximately 92.5 are wild and farmed fish, 11.6 are farmed birds including chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys, and 0.6 are farmed mammals such as pigs, rabbits, sheep, goats and cows. Entitled “The Effects of Diet Choices,” the analysis estimated that over 772 billion animals were slaughtered in 2018 for human consumption, basing the calculation primarily on data from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. The authors noted that if adding the animals who died due to the indirect causes of meat production such as deforestation, the number of lives saved by a vegan is actually higher. Our earnest appreciation, Animal Charity Evaluators. May everyone be kind stewards of our innocent animal friends to save lives and our planet through the noble diet of compassion, in God’s benevolence.

It’s a beautiful day, blissful viewers! I’m Connie the vegan Candy Basslet. Who is watching my tip of the day? Oh, I know, my lovely vegan friends. How lovely you and I have become since we switched to a vegan diet... My friends say I am so adorable as a vegan and they follow suit. Now we are all soo adorable that everyone loves to hang out with us. I’ve got a cooking tip for you today. Do you have limited time with your busy schedule? If so, prepare food that takes a long time to make, like rice, in larger batches. Once cooked, then distribute the rice over a lined tray and freeze it. After it is frozen, divide it into meal-sized portions in freezer containers and you’ll be able to have it ready super quick the next time you want to use it in a meal. This method is particularly great for brown rice and whole grains since their cooking time is longer. Lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Thank you for watching. Now for the weather from around the world.
Japanese company to trial space debris removal satellite.
Japanese startup Astroscale recently launched a pair of satellites to test a technology that will help to clean up space debris that is floating in our planet’s orbit. The End-of-Life Services spacecraft by Astroscale Demonstration (Elsa-d) includes a servicer satellite to remove the debris and a client satellite to act as the debris, which will be released numerous times in different scenarios to test the technology. It is estimated that there are 25,000 pieces of space junk floating above our planet that are potential hazards for current and future space travel and satellites as well as the International Space station. An exciting advancement, Astroscale! Our best wishes for your work to clean up around Earth’s orbit. In Celestial light, may we responsibly care for all areas of our precious world.
Scientists find sea life under ice in Antarctica.
International scientists who are living in Antarctica on a research vessel called Polarstern, recently had the opportunity to inspect the seafloor under the Antarctic Ice Sheet after an iceberg separated from the sheet. Photos and video were taken using the Ocean Floor Observation and Bathymetry System that revealed extensive biodiversity, including sea stars, squid, fish, mollusks, sea cucumbers and more. The team of scientists is currently on a mission to study Antarctica’s environment to better understand the consequences of climate change. Thank you, Polarstern researchers, for sharing images of the wondrous marine life in the Antarctic. May your ongoing studies assist people in realizing the importance of halting global warming now by immediately adopting the vegan lifestyle, in Heaven’s wisdom.
Siblings partner up to supply feminine hygiene products for underprivileged women.
The altruistic sister and brother team of Benita and Brian Benoi of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, launched a campaign to obtain sanitary pads for disadvantaged women and girls in Indian villages. Through their “Power to Periods” project, the caring duo successfully collected 45 kilograms of products, which will be shipped to a non-profit in India to be distributed in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Benita, who is studying mechanical engineering at a university in the United Kingdom, learned of the need during a vacation in India. Brian, a 9th grade student, provided publicity via social media and created awards for donors. He wanted to be a “role model” to inspire fellow males to support female health-related causes. Our applause, Benita and Brian Benoi. In Divine fulfillment, may your kindness encourage youth worldwide to aid those less fortunate.

Caregivers praise their clever cat companion for detecting a dangerous gas leak.
Sandi Martin was playing with her rescued cat companion Lilly in the living room of her Oregon, United States, home, when Lilly curiously went over to the gas fireplace and started sniffing the valve. Having never seen her feline friend do that before, Sandi and her husband called the gas company to come for an inspection, and the worker confirmed that it was in fact a dangerous gas leak. If Lilly had not alerted Ms. Martin, gas may have accumulated in the house, which could have resulted in an explosion. Ms. Martin also shared that Lilly had helped her overcome the feelings of isolation brought on by the lockdowns of the coronavirus pandemic. We are so grateful for your super olfactory abilities and warm friendship with your family, Lilly! God bless you. May all our brilliant animal friends be shielded in the protection of the Providence.
Laughter is an instant vacation. Let’s take a short trip and laugh together with our joke of the day entitled, “Marriage Statistics.”
“You know, Myra, these days there are a whole lot of girls who do not want to get married. Why is that?”
“Oh, yes? How do you know?”
“I’ve asked them.”
