In today’s news, United Nations agencies facilitate rapid transfer of Ukrainian refugees to Romania, researchers uncover closest-ever repeating fast radio bursts from galaxy near Earth, engineering students in United States build and fly 15th-century helicopter design from Leonardo Da Vinci, United Kingdom opens first “smart prison” to rehabilitate inmates, former forest official responsible for turning steppe land into forest in Turkey, Canadian vegan fast-food chain to dramatically expand, and scientists find new colorful fish-person species in Maldives’ coral reefs.
United Nations agencies assist quick transfer of Ukrainian refugees to Romania through Moldova.
The Romanian and Moldovan governments, assisted by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), have established a transfer route for individuals fleeing Ukraine. It runs from the Palanca Border Crossing Point in Southern Moldova to Romania, a 230-kilometer trip. Sixteen buses from the UNHCR and IOM have been provided to assist in transporting those in need. “The number one priority is to ensure that all those fleeing the war have protection, shelter, basic needs and support services, including psychosocial assistance,” said Lars Johan Lönnback, IOM’s Chief of Mission in Moldova. Our sincerest appreciation, Moldovan and Romanian governments, UNHCR, and IOM, for your swift action. In Divine radiance, may the people of Ukraine soon be able to return to their glorious homeland in peace.
Scientists discover unusual fast radio bursts (FRBs) nearby.
A team of international radio astronomers has uncovered the closest repeating FRBs, which are short emissions of radio waves, to Earth yet in galaxy M81. It is less than 12 million light-years away. Normally, only younger stars emit a single fast radio burst. However, the FRBs detected from galaxy M81 happened regularly, and they came from a globular cluster of older stars that are orbiting around M81’s main disk. The researchers also noted that the FRBs were some of the fastest ever detected, at just 60 nanoseconds. This means they are emanating from a very small volume in space, perhaps only tens of meters in breadth. Thank you, international radio astronomers, for sharing this research. May the wonders of the Universe inspire humans to be ever grateful to all of God’s creations, in Celestial beneficence. Continue 2 make war: cuz u really want 2 know what the devils look like. U will, soon, in hell.
Up next, engineering students in United States build and fly 15th-century helicopter design from Leonardo Da Vinci. Let’s pause to thank the fruit pickers for the delicious and mouth-watering cherry tomatoes they gather that go into our nutritious vegan salads. Hallo, charming viewers, I’m Gemma, a vegan hairdresser from the Gemsbok kingdom. Creating a world of compassion starts here and now with our loving everyday choices. And my life is a testimony to the kindhearted vegan path that is the cornerstone of our shared future. I’m happy to share a tip from our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai today: “Hallo, beautiful children. If you are bothered by mosquitos around your house, and they also follow you inside, then you can position a fan in the hallway, facing the door, so when you come in and out, the mosquitos will not be able to fly in. You could also put it outside – wherever you feel is more effective, it depends on your house structure and position. Like this, if you feel it’s a big help, you can also put a fan or two in the outside areas where you often spend your time, such as a pavilion or outdoor kitchen. Take care of your health, and protect yourself. God loves you kids.” Love You too, Supreme Master Ching Hai! We appreciate this caring advice. Thank you all for watching and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Here’s the weather around the world!
Leonardo da Vinci’s 15th-century helicopter design takes flight.
More than 500 years ago, the Italian genius Leonardo da Vinci sketched a plan for a one-person helicopter. Now, as part of a design contest, engineering students from the University of Maryland in the United States have built and tested a small quadcopter drone with wings named Crimson Spin. It is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s “aerial screw” design. Austin Prete worked on the project for his master’s degree and used modern materials like plastic, aluminum, electric motors, batteries and computer control systems to make flight possible. While the model built by the students is small, Austin believes Crimson Spin is scalable and could be made to carry a human. What a fascinating creation, University of Maryland students! May the geniuses of the past and the present continue to uplift our world with their brilliance, in the grace of the Providence.
United Kingdom opens first “smart prison” in Northamptonshire to rehabilitate prisoners and deter future crime.
The new HMP Five Wells Category C jail will offer a multitude of educational and training opportunities to help inmates get jobs once released, thus eliminating repeat offenders and causing an overall decrease in crime. The new prison contains many classrooms and will host 24 workshops, with some courses including coding, car and truck maintenance, plumbing, engineering, and fork-lift operation. Prisoners will have access to smart tablets for education while in their prison cell and more. In an effort to transition inmates successfully back into their communities, the prison will work directly with employers to offer 500 on-job training places involving temporary release leading to permanent jobs once their time is served. What benevolent news, Britain and the HMP Five Wells, of your kindhearted efforts to ensure incarcerees have a brighter future. We pray this initiative leads to the rehabilitation of many, in Heavenly splendor.
Retired forest chief celebrates the creation of lush woodland on barren hills.
Hikmet Kaya, the former chief of the Forest Management Department in Sinop, Turkey, left a legacy of transforming a barren hill in Sinop city into a green oasis by overseeing the planting of 30 million trees during his 24-year tenure. Mr. Kaya was recently invited to Sinop as his great afforestation work was honored. A photo of Mr. Kaya holding a picture of the formerly barren land while surrounded by the lush present-day environment went viral on social media. Vegan fast-food chain expands.
Odd Burger, a Canadian vegan fast-food brand, is set to open 36 new locations in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia prior to 2029. Once the outlets are completed, there will be almost 50 restaurants in total. The expansion is based on a partnership with the family-owned hospitality group Sai Ganesh Enterprises (SGE), and puts Odd Burger on the path to becoming the world’s largest vegan fast-food chain. Moreover, Western Canada will be the site of a new corporate restaurant location overseen by SGE that will serve as a training facility for new franchisees. We are lovin’ it, Odd Burger and SGE! Thank you for making our vegan favorites more readily available as you also spread the planet-saving, compassionate lifestyle, in Heaven’s joyful delight.
New magnificent fish-person species found in Maldives’ coral reefs.
Discovered by an international team of scientists, this unique and beautiful fish-person, named Cirrhilabrus finifenmaa, was first identified and studied in the 1990s, but was classified as the adult version of the fish-person Cirrhilabrus rubrisquamis at that time. Maldives Marine Research Institute’s Senior Research Officer Ahmed Najeeb recently named the gorgeous rainbow-hued marine being after the local word for rose. This occasion is the first time a Maldivian scientist has formally given a name to a fish-person. Mr. Najeeb expressed his delight at being part of the naming process and “especially having the opportunity to work alongside top ichthyologists [fish-people biologists] on such an elegant and beautiful species.” Many thanks, Ahmed Najeeb and all scientists, for your discovery of this radiant ocean being. May Cirrhilabrus finifenmaa and all other wonderful fish-people always be safe in their glorious marine homes, in Allah’s all-encompassing Care.
Here’s our joke of the day to tickle your funny bone. It’s entitled, “Without Cash.”
A photographer went overseas to explore new countries and their cultures. Halfway through her trip, she ran out of cash, and her credit card couldn’t be used at her location. Then, she decided to ask a shop owner for advice:
“Excuse me. I was wondering, what’s the fastest way to earn money as a photographer here?”
“By selling your camera.”
?!
And now we have a heartline from Aarul in India:
Namaste, Param Pavan Guruji, My Dear Beloved, Wonderful Supreme Master Ching Hai, Since my initiation in 2007 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, I am enjoying the blissful Ocean of Love from Master.
Thank You, Master, for giving me opportunities to serve in the United Arab Emirates, where a few very joyful incidents were experienced. For example, one lifetime memory was when the Prince of Abu Dhabi visited our bookstall at the International Book Fair Abu Dhabi. He did not stop at any stall but came to Master’s bookstall and viewed Master’s photo. And when our saints presented Master’s gift books, it was a wonderful event. Seems to me that Master specially planned this event to bless the prince.
Another event was wherein Master inaugurated a book launch of the Arabic version of Master’s book “The Birds in My Life,” when I received Master’s Blessings through a conference from Cancun, Mexico in December 2010. After this event, many Blessings came to the UAE and created many miracles in that country and in my life, too.
On the morning of October 2, 2019, I was coming down from the central hall and Master was going to Her residence. Master stopped the car on the way and called me from a distance. On reaching Master’s forefeet, I chanted a shloka for Guruji, wherein Master gave me lots and lots of Love and Blessings. Thank You so much, Master.
I enjoyed Master’s Love and Blessings while I was at Christmas Retreat 2019. Especially while singing the stotra for Master, Supreme Master Ching Hai Sharanam mam…. (Means in the protection of Supreme Master Ching Hai), getting blessed apples from Master’s hand and enjoying it afterward. Of course, every evening meal with Master was full of joy and bliss.
While welcoming New Year 2020, Most Compassionate and Beautiful Master fed me a vegan cake, an awesome, blissful event. Thank You, Master, for Your wholesome Love and Blessings. Also, wonderful Master’s gifts are blissful and uplifting. I do not have enough words to thank Master as I am always speechless while talking to Master. Many thanks, Master.
Master, since I left the United Arab Emirates and am now staying in India, I wish to continue to serve Master. Wishing You all the best forever, Aarul from India
Loyal Aarul, Our gratitude and thanks for sharing your deep love and devotion for Master and the many Blessings received.
Master has this joyous reply for you: “Happy Aarul, such Blessings from Heavens and positivity have changed your life and also have the power to change the world. Congratulations for choosing the path of love and the compassionate way. A big hug to you with my prayers that all beings may be loved, humans and the defenseless animal-people. This is the dearest wish in my heart. Thank you for doing your part. May the Love and goodness of God extend in abundance to you and the neighborly citizens of India.”
