In today’s news, mutual visa-free travel arranged between Israel and United Arab Emirates, Gambian vegetable farmers benefit from cold storage, drone technology to help regrow koala habitat in Australia, Finnish research finds seniors of our time enjoy better physical and mental health functions, off-duty police officer saves men from train accident in United States, multinational hotel chain stops serving meat, and Russian official saves three beluga whales.

Israel and United Arab Emirates citizens to enjoy visa-free travel.

This first arrangement of its kind between Israel and an Arab state was part of a group of bilateral agreements made during an official visit by UAE senior diplomats to Israel. The visit itself was also a first since the signing of the historic Abraham Accords Peace Agreement between the nations in September as mediated by the United States, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate. Greeting the honored UAE guests at the airport, Israeli Prime Minister His Excellency Benjamin Netanyahu stated, “The enthusiasm for this peace agreement among our people is enormous. It’s real, it’s broad, it’s deep, and it reflects the potential that is realized today.” Other areas of collaboration between the two countries are to be in science and technology, international investments, and aviation. Congratulations, Israel and the United Arab Emirates! May your warm ties flourish, spreading peace and prosperity throughout the region, in Heaven’s grace.

Gambian women vegetable sellers supported through UK financed cold storage initiative.

The United Kingdom government, a Shining World Wise Leadership Award and Shining World Leadership Award for Animal Protection and Kindness laureate, is funding a solar cold storage project in The Gambia with the goal of decreasing food loss, providing food security, and encouraging women to engage in the vegetable business. The initiative is being carried out in partnership with the Kanifing Municipal Council and is part of the UK’s response to The Gambia’s economic challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Each cold room costs over US$11,800 with one already installed at the Serekunda market and 18 more planned for the Kanifing district. We are excited to hear of this wonderful opportunity for Gambian women. Many thanks, United Kingdom government and Kanifing Municipal Council, for this sustainable endeavor. May Allah bless the beautiful people of The Gambia with a prosperous future, in Divine love.

Up next, drone technology used to restore koala habitat in Australia. We’ll take a moment to thank the conscientious railroad inspectors, who ensure the safe transport of people and cargo over long distances. When we return, more good news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television!

Hallo, cheerful friends, how are you today? I’m Champy the vegan Chimpanzee and I love being vegan, and I bet you will too. Join me! Here is a way for parents out there to boost the bond you share with your children. As kids get older, parents tend to embrace them less. But scientists found that hugging your children for 20 seconds is sufficient to increase their levels of oxytocin, a feel-good hormone. Oxytocin mitigates the negative effects of cortisol, a stress hormone that commonly increases in the teenage years. So give your children hugs daily if they are comfortable with it, and they just might be happier and better behaved too. Thank you for your attention. And love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the global weather.

Australian project to trial drones to revive koalas’ habitat.

A World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Australia initiative is testing the use of aerial drones to replant the specific kind of gum trees that koalas live in and eat from, in areas that were burned during the recent forest fires. The specialized drones are capable of planting 40,000 seeds per day and can reach places that are inaccessible to humans. It is envisioned that the seeding will also create a corridor for wildlife including koalas to easily traverse the landscape. WWF Australia hopes to double the iconic species’ population by 2050. Our sincere gratitude, World Wide Fund for Nature Australia and all involved, for your dedication to protecting the beloved koalas and their forest homes. May your efforts lead to rapid regrowth of the trees as the Providence keeps all the animal residents safe and well.

Finnish study shows elderly people’s health functions improved in 30 years.

Lead researcher Dr. Taina Rantanen and team at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, recently conducted a study to observe the physical and cognitive performances of senior citizens aged 75 to 80 compared with the same-aged people in the 1990s. Results revealed that the muscle power, walking and reaction speed, verbal fluency, reasoning, and memory function of this age group of men and women are nowadays notably better than they were a few decades earlier. The researchers explained these differences by the larger body sizes of present-day elderly citizens and their enhanced physical activities, as well as the advances in nutrition, hygiene, healthcare and education, and a better working life. Thank you, Dr. Taina Rantanen and University of Jyväskylä researchers, for such a heartening study showing that our world has become better, in God’s blessings. May our respected older generations lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

Off-duty Georgia police officer rescues men from derailed train.

Senior Police Officer Almedin Ajanovic from Lilburn, Georgia, in the United States was on his way home at 1:30 am, when he heard a dispatch call about a massive train derailment caused by heavy rains. He immediately headed towards the location and ran along the railroad track, when he heard a loud explosion and saw a huge fireball burst into the air. The officer managed to locate the wrecked train car with two conductors inside. Ignoring the heat and other dangers indicated by some hazardous leaking liquid and a high-voltage warning sign, Officer Ajanovic quickly climbed up the train car and found the men, saying, “I got you, brother.” The heroic officer then led the men to safety. A standing ovation, Senior Police Officer Almedin Ajanovic, for risking your own life to help others. May all the brave members of the police force be blessed and protected by Heavens in their noble mission. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present the Shining World Hero Award to Senior Police Officer Almedin Ajanovic, with high salute and heartfelt gratitude for your selfless life-saving action. May Heaven protect you on and off duty as you put others’ safety before your own.”

Coming up, multinational hotel chain stops serving meat. We’ll pause now to enjoy some festive singing and dancing from Côte d’Ivoire called Gbofe of Afounkaha, a UNESCO-recognized Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Splendid News for a Magnificent World.

Luxury hotel group goes meat-free for at least a year.

Launching a “Year of the Veg” initiative from the beginning of October 2020, Ovolo Hotels began serving only plant-based meals across its eight properties in Australia and Hong Kong, made with ingredients locally sourced or grown on-site where possible. The decision was inspired by the success of a vegan restaurant named Alibi at one of the group’s properties located in Sydney, Australia. The founder and CEO of Ovolo Hotels, Girish Jhunjhnuwala, who is vegetarian, said, “We want to be conscious about what we’re consuming and practice sustainability as much as we can because we believe this can have an enormous impact on the environment and humanity at large.” He added that he hopes the endeavor will continue beyond 365 days. We applaud your bold and positive move, Girish Jhunjhnuwala and Ovolo Hotels! In Divine goodness, may all hospitality establishments someday or soon serve only compassionate food to help build a vegan world.

Russian official saves three beluga whales.

Alexey Paramonov, a senior inspector from Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, saved two adult beluga whales and a calf who had become stranded in the mouth of the Uda River at low tide. After being informed of the situation, Inspector Paramonov quickly arrived and moved the calf to be close to its distressed mother. Covering the calf with his own jacket, and later a larger cover to stay warm, he then ensured that their eyes remained moist and guarded them from being disturbed by birds and dogs. The rescuer also helped the other adult beluga, who was immobilized on its side. By digging a pit under it, he was able to turn the whale to the right position. Mr. Paramonov, who also saved three belugas last year, stayed with the cetaceans until the high tide returned at midnight and they could go back to the sea. Hero Inspector Alexey Paramonov, thank you for your diligent and loving aid to our whale friends in need. We pray that such kindness will soon be shown by humans to individuals of all species, in Celestial peace.

We got something to relax your jaw muscle, please laugh! It’s called “For a Safety Reason.”

“You were exceeding the speed limit, ma’am, weren’t you?”

“Yes, I was, sir. But you see, my brakes are so bad that I wanted to get home before I had an accident.”

And now we have a heartline from Minh Tuệ in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam:

Dear Master and the Supreme Master Television team, More than ever, we could feel Your compassionate power embracing the whole Universe, and Your loving power permeating everywhere in the world. Your meditation retreat is for World Vegan, especially trying to save humanity facing the Covid-19 pandemic at present. Humanity is continuously receiving positive and pure energy from You through messages of Be Vegan, Meditating, Praying, and Doing good deeds. In Âu Lạc (Vietnam), the government takes very good care of the citizens: making it easy for the people who work overseas and the students who studied abroad coming home. The citizens do not discriminate against those infected with the virus, but work together to take care of the sick. There were Buddhist venerables, reverends, and nuns who during the pandemic organized lecture sessions to help Buddhists better understand the cause of the pandemic (according to the law of karma). And they showed how to prevent the virus, and how to create more antibodies to fight the virus: repent, pray, and lifestyle change. They advised the Buddhists to be vegan right now and emphasized the importance of veganism (which was uploaded to YouTube). A number of people who live nearby me already changed to be vegan and said that after the pandemic, they will switch to do business with vegan products (to replace what they did before). Blending into the positive energy which You bestowed on us, we will increase our efforts to support and establish more new locations of small businesses selling vegan products to serve the public (the best possible way). We wish Master and the Supreme Master Television team great health, and protection from Heavens, always. Respectfully, Minh Tuệ from Âu Lạc (Vietnam)

Mindful Minh Tuệ, Thank you so much for sharing such wonderful news! As we rejoice for all positive changes everywhere globally, we’d like to also thank Master and all the Great Beings in the Universe for their abundant blessings. Please continue doing whatever possible to help manifest Heaven on Earth for all. May you and the people of flourishing Âu Lạc (Vietnam) be uplifted by Divine guidance, Supreme Master Television team

P.S. Master said: “Earnest Minh Tuệ, I am so gladdened to hear that the Buddhist venerables and others spread Buddha’s love by informing your co-citizens of the vegan diet and how it is a long-term solution to the pandemic. I praise their benevolent effort and pray for their wellness as for your Land and people’s strength. It is what everyone needs to know right now. I appreciate all efforts to make vegan products more available. Please tell everyone you know the importance of praying for World Vegan, so this loving energy will uplift our world, as well as all beings on Earth, for a lasting world peace. May Buddha’s infinite grace be with you and wholesome Âu Lạc (Vietnam).”
