In today’s news, International Monetary Fund approves US$50 million to help Sierra Leone cope with COVID-19, humans have adversely impacted over half of the world’s rivers, Australian study finds migrants follow sustainable living practices, Lahti, Finland wins prestigious European Green Capital Award, United States woman dedicates life to rescuing animals, BMW-owned car brand makes full switch to leather-free alternative, and cosmetic animal testing banned in Virginia, United States.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) supports Sierra Leone during the pandemic.

The IMF has approved funding of US$50.37 million to assist Sierra Leone in meeting its fiscal requirements and critical balance of payments in the wake of pandemic challenges. Although the West African nation has taken decisive actions to contain COVID-19, it has still suffered significant economic setbacks. The contribution will assist government initiatives such as the Quick Action Economic Response Programme, which helps farmers, provides direct cash transfers to households in need, and supports employment in public works. Our gratitude, International Monetary Fund for your generosity and care towards the fine people of Sierra Leone. We pray that Heaven will guide Sierra Leone into an evermore prosperous and secure future.

Study examines the impact of modern civilization on the world’s fresh waterways.

Researchers from France and China recently completed a 10-year study into the adverse effects of humans on the world’s river and lake systems over the past two hundred years. Published in the journal Science, the data collected from 2,456 river basins revealed that over 53% of them − including the majority of the large rivers in North America and Europe − have been heavily impacted by our activities. This effect encompasses loss of species diversity and habitat destruction. It was estimated that only 14% of the rivers experienced little impact by humans, and those water bodies were usually located in the less developed regions of Australia or Africa. Many thanks, researchers, for your timely examination of the effects of our actions on the precious rivers. In Divine blessings, may we soon restore the natural environment on which our lives depend.

Up next, migrants in Australia follow sustainable living practices. We’ll pause for a moment to thank the motor vehicle license clerks, who assist in issuing driving licenses and permits to qualified applicants after they’ve passed the necessary tests. When we return, more thoughtful news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television!

Hallo, vibrant viewers, it’s Candy the vegan Rock Ptarmigan! People say my aura is soo bright. Guess why − because I am vegan. Try this Heaven-like diet and your aura will be too... Today, I have a cooking tip for you. Quinoa is a tasty and nutritious grain that can be used in many meals. However, after washing it using a colander or sieve, it’s difficult to get all of the little grains into a pan or bowl. To resolve this issue, you can use a French press coffee maker if you have one. Just pour your quinoa in the press and add some warm water over it. Plunge the quinoa down to the bottom and pour the water out. Then take out the plunger and scoop out the quinoa using a spoon or spatula. For any remaining quinoa left on the tools you’ve just used, you can easily rinse them, saving that rinse water as part of your cooking water. Thank you and love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. And thanks for tuning in. Now, the weather around the world!

Australian migrants show that they care about the environment.

Dr. Sukhmani Khorana and Claudia Sirdah, of Western Sydney University in Australia, conducted a local study in which they interviewed 17 migrants, both women and men, aged 18-40 years. The researchers found that, without even realizing it the new Australians practiced sustainable living in their daily lives such as by repurposing goods, having veggie gardens, and being mindful of water and electricity usage. In addition, five out of the 17 participants were vegan or vegetarian, with four of these individuals following a plant-based diet being second-generation migrants. Dr. Khorana concluded that migrants are interested in helping to protect the environment and should be welcomed more to join the greater society’s environmental movements. Thank you, Dr. Sukhmani Khorana and Claudia Sirdah, for recognizing newcomers’ positive contributions. We hope everyone joins in to create a greener, vegan world, in the love of the Providence.

Finnish city named Europe’s Green Capital of 2021.

The city of Lahti, Finland is this year’s winner of the prestigious European Green Capital Award from the European Commission. The country’s ninth largest metropolis of 120,000 people garnered the prize for reaching beyond its traditional industrial roots to reinvent itself as a sustainable city. Lahti is currently on track to be carbon neutral in four years, putting it a decade ahead of the rest of the country. Also, the residents can earn rewards through the popular CitiCAP app for their green choices such as using biking or walking as means of transport. Lahti’s eco-conscious citizens, including civic and business leaders, the ice hockey team and symphony orchestra, as well as elderly volunteers, have all played roles in promoting environmental values. Congratulations, Lahti, Finland! May you and your caring inhabitants continue to flourish evermore as you inspire others with your sustainable progress.

American woman devotes her life to rescuing animals in need.

Adri Rachelle Campbell, age 33, is the founder of Wild Things Sanctuary, a non-profit in the state of Georgia, USA. It is currently home to nearly 200 animals, most of whom were unwanted or abused. Cows, ferrets, mules, horses, pigs, a tegu and many others are all lovingly attended to personally by Adri. Her many expenses to make sure the animals in her care thrive, add up to about US$50,000 a year. Ms. Campbell uses endearing social media posts to gather financial support, while keeping fans updated on the residents’ marvelous lives. She shared, “Knowing that I’m offering them a safe place to heal gives my life a purpose and that reward far outweighs all of the time, money, and sadness running an animal sanctuary can bring.” God bless you, Adri Rachelle Campbell and your darling rescued friends. As humanity grows in kindness, may all beings soon witness paradise on Earth.

Coming up, BMW-owned car brand switches to leather-free alternative. We’ll just step outside for a moment to take a barefooted walk in the grass to deepen our connection with the earth. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Forward-thinking News for an Advancing World.

BMW-owned brand goes leather-free to be more sustainable.

The British Mini range of cars, belonging to the iconic German luxury vehicle brand, will only use synthetic leather alternatives in their interior upholstery in all future models for a more timeless design. Speaking of the change, Head of Design Oliver Heilmer shared that Mini will be able to redefine the concept of luxury and deliver high-end products by utilizing recycled materials. Moving forward, BMW has declared that a vegan leather known as Sensatec will be integrated into all of its 5-Series cars. The company is also currently developing an electric SUV. Our appreciation, BMW and Mini, for your wise moves. We agree that animal-free leather is as classy as it is compassionate, and hope more businesses will join the essential vegan way, in Heaven’s mercy.

Virginia bans all testing of beauty products on animals.

The state of Virginia in the USA has recently banned the testing of cosmetics on animals, as well as the sale of any beauty products previously tested on animals. The Virginia Humane Cosmetics Act was introduced by state legislators The Honorable Jennifer Boysko and The Honorable Kaye Kory, and was signed by Virginia Governor The Honorable Ralph Northam. It will go into effect on January 1, 2022. Sara Amundson, President of the Humane Society Legislative Fund, praised the new law, saying that cosmetic companies are listening to consumer demand and lawmakers are “solidifying these changes into permanent policy.” Virginia is now the fourth state in the US to enact this prohibition. Bravo, Senator Jennifer Boysko, Delegate Kaye Kory, Governor Ralph Northam and Virginia! Your humane actions lead to the sparing of many animal lives and herald a new loving age, in Celestial peace. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Respectfully present the Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion to the Government of Virginia, with high salute and gratitude for protecting the innocent animals. May God bless you and reward you multifold.”

Ready for a joke that’ll make you laugh out loud? Here’s a fun one entitled, “Igloo.”

Amka was bringing her friend Tanya to her igloo home for a visit. When they arrived, Tanya was puzzled and asked:

"So where is your igloo?"

"Oh no! I must’ve left the iron on!"

And now we have a heartline from Marine in the Republic of Costa Rica:

I feel very grateful to Supreme Master Ching Hai for raising the consciousness of the Planet, for Supreme Master TV, and coming to Costa Rica, where a lot of us received initiation, including my daughter, who was initiated when she was a little girl, and because her boyfriend easily understood Master’s message and he became vegan. I help rescue street dogs in my hometown, and I had an experience with one of them who was pregnant, and I called her Princess. On February 15, 2020, one very beautiful puppy was born to Princess. The next day I woke up early, and it was my birthday; I was excited, and I felt this puppy was a gift from God. I called him Jas because part of his white color is like a Jasmine. Due to lack of space, resources, time, and the number of dogs at home, and because we had to make room for more dogs to come, we decided we had to give some of them up for adoption, including Princess. Soon a person contacted us saying that Princess (Star is her real name) was lost about a year ago. Jas, my little puppy, looks a lot like his family. Although we did not know each other, when they came to pick Princess up, we were all happy when we met and shared anecdotes about our dogs. I understand that we are all a tool, a bridge that made possible Princess’s return to her home. I had the opportunity to know her past, which is not always the case with a stray dog. Marine from the Republic of Costa Rica

Admirable Marine, We appreciate your lines. Our hearts are touched to hear that the dogs were well cared for through your loving actions, especially Princess (Star) who is now returned safely to her family. We pray to see World Vegan, World Peace coming soon, as we yearn for the day when all beings are treated with kindness and respect under the merciful Grace of Heavens. May you and the outstanding people of Costa Rica remember to find glory in God. In Celestial oneness, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master has some words for you: “Meritorious and compassionate Marine, my appreciation to you for your caring actions of rescuing canines from the streets. Blissful Heavens are happy seeing considerate helpers like yourself. May God’s magnanimous Grace be with you and the kind-hearted Costa Ricans always.”

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline
