The Prophet Huỳnh Phú Sổ was born on January 15th, 1920, in a well-off family in Hóa Hào village, Tân Châu district, Châu Ðôc province. Since His young age, the prophet was very compassionate. He never wanted to hurt animals, even if it was a tiny insect. At age 15, Prophet Huỳnh Phú Sổ became gravely ill. No one could find the source of His illness, nor a cure. As a result of this grave illness that lasted until age 18, Prophet Huỳnh Phú Sổ had to withdraw from school and discontinue His studies. Instead, under His parents’advice and guidance, Prophet Huỳnh Phú Sổ visited all the holy sites, ashrams, and caves in Mount Thât Son and Tà Lon.
