“I really put myself in the skin of an animal when I paint. It sometimes tears my heart apart. We find them a lot in mythology, the animals. But not necessarily to eat them. We actually idolized them. We represented them a lot. We really lost this, and I’m trying to recreate it through my paintings. They are protected by the Gods. Animals are cosmic beings. They are of all kinds, of all beauty. They are sublime. If God exists, if Allah exists, He made them beautiful. They are magnificent.” “The ‘Vegan’ canvas has been very successful on the internet, on YouTube, on social networks, because we see it being painted from beginning to end. Even people who are not vegan want to see the final result of the fresco, from a white canvas to the final result. So, it’s a message that works quite well. An Earth surrounded by free animals, it works very well.” “When you’re sensitive, whether to the animal, to nature, or to humans in general, in fact, you have this ability to create. If all artists did something for the animal cause, that would be great! The great thing is that with art, we don’t offend other people. By transmitting messages to them through paintings, music, dance, or something else, without realizing it, we’re transmitting small subliminal messages in the brain unintentionally, but without clashes, without accusations.” “We need to stop sticking to old habits. We need to change our behavior, our current consumption pattern. Even the brushes I currently have are synthetic brushes.” “What is needed is we shouldn’t touch the sea, wildlife, forests, for, I don’t know, 20 to 30 years. We don’t touch anything. Just to let life regenerate. The coming generation, they’ll have to pick themselves up. We need to make them aware of this cause.”
