Today, she will highlight her belief that whether human beings can continue to exist on our planet will fundamentally depend on our animal friends. “We realize today that there is an incredible cooperation, even love, a solidarity between animals! Probably much stronger than between humans. I think the future belongs to the animals. The animals will save us because they’ve kept the ecological intelligence that we’ve lost.” Nature and biodiversity are important safety nets for humankind and we must do our best to protect the natural environment. Yolaine, who always walks her talk, launched environmentally-friendly fashion events as one of her endeavors to care for the planet. The Nat Party earned Yolaine de la Bigne the 2007 Femme en Or (Women in Gold) trophy, an honor recognizing successful French women, in the category of Environment/Quality of Life. Ms. de la Bigne firmly believes the most effective way to rescue our planetary home is for all to quit eating meat. Looking to the future, Yolaine embraces a beautiful vision of the relationship between humans and animals. Let us listen to her wishes and pray that they would be realized soon. “So, to come back to men and animals, there would be real solidarity. No more animal-based entertainment, that’s clear. No more zoos with cages, but only parks where animals are respected and we try to reproduce them in order to release them into the wild and repair a little bit of all the damage we’ve done. I’d love to have reserves where nature, plants and animals can finally live in peace. And then, the maddest, most fantastical dream, we’d be able to communicate with them.” We are grateful to Ms. Yolaine de la Bigne for her loving concern for our animal friends and sharing with us her knowledge so that we can better appreciate the wonderful world of the animals. Animals are simple of heart and intelligent. They have no prejudices and are willing to give all of their love generously to protect our planet and humankind. We must change the way we view them because they are not different from us. Like Ms. de la Bigne, we also ask that you always cherish and treat them well just as we would treat ourselves.
