United States, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate, supports Mali’s COVID-19 response.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) donated US$4 million to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to provide food aid to nine regions around Mali, benefiting over 196,000 people. USAID also partnered with Mali’s government to provide 14 days of food supplies to those hospitalized and quarantined, while handwashing soap will be distributed to disadvantaged households to aid in the prevention of coronavirus. The US has already contributed US$13.8 million of pandemic response support since the outbreak in Mali in March, which has helped in areas including medical assistance such as mobile clinics, improved laboratory testing capacity, and community health training. During the 2019 and 2020 fiscal years before the pandemic, the US has extended US$102 million of humanitarian aid to Mali. Our gratitude and Heaven’s blessings, United States. May the kind citizens of Mali be graced with excellent health and much prosperity, in God’s abundant care!
Austria to give citizenship to Israelis.
Austria has amended its Citizenship Law to enable those who were citizens of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and fled during wartime, or resided in Austria before March 12, 1938, and any of their descendants, to be granted Austrian citizenship. Tens of thousands of people are eligible, and the application will be free of charge. The process can be started by filling out a questionnaire on the website of the Austrian Embassy in Israel. Our respectful commendation, Austria, on your considerate new law. In Heaven’s infinite light, may friendship flourish among all the fine people of your nation.
Up next, United States engineers develop jellyfish-like robot. Let’s take a moment to thank savvy personal shoppers who assist those who do not have the time or expertise to shop themselves. We will return with more responsible news after these messages here on Supreme Master Television.
Good day, radiant viewers! I’m Chilli the vegan Polar Bear Cub. The secret of my cheerful attitude is the vegan lifestyle. It's a noble choice. I never regret. You’d surely like to be like me, so what are you waiting for, go vegan today! I have a cleaning tip to share with you today! Your hands can get dirty from working on your bike or fixing things around your house, and soap may not always remove the grime and grease. A natural solution is to use an abrasive, like salt, for example, to scrub your hands. Take about a half a spoonful of salt and put it in your hand with a little squirt of liquid soap. Lather your hands under warm running water and gently use the salt to help scrub away the extra dirt and grime. When finished, rinse thoroughly. Now, you’re ready to admire those bright, beautiful hands of yours! So fresh and so clean! Thank you for tuning in, and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now the weather around the globe!
Researchers develop robots inspired by jellyfish.
Engineering researchers at North Carolina State University and Temple University, both in the United States, have built spineless, soft-bodied robots that can outswim their biological inspiration: jellyfish. Their method involves bonding a layer of a stretched polymer to another layer of the same polymer that has not been stretched, and has air channels. When air is pumped into the channels, the robot moves. These jellyfish-bots have been tested to “swim” at double the speed of the three jellyfish species analyzed for the project. With the same technique, the researchers also created a gripping robot, which only uses energy to release the grip, while an object is held tight during the robot’s resting mode, making moving items more energy efficient. What amazing feats, engineering researchers from North Carolina State and Temple Universities! May new innovations like these help make our world a better place for all beings, in the infinite wisdom of the Providence.
Solar development to boost Croatia’s economy and green future.
SOL4ALL, a community-led solarization project in Croatia, will bring solar power to 1,000 household rooftops across 10 cities in the country, by the end of the year. The €121,000 endeavor seeks to help citizens’ economic recovery from the pandemic, as part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s Crisis Response Initiative. It will also reduce 467,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year, and move Croatia closer to its goal of 2,700 megawatts solar capacity before 2050. Applying a cooperative business model to engage citizens, the plan will generate between 3,000 and 8,000 new jobs annually. Partners include the green energy companies Zelena energetska zadruga (ZEZ), based in Croatia, and e-Zavod in Slovenia. Bravo, European Institute of Innovation and Technology, Croatian government, and all involved. In Heaven’s benevolence, may more sustainable measures be created alongside the adoption of the low-emissions vegan diet for an idyllic world.
Retired professor in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam, provides free medical care for animals.
For the past seven years, veterinarian and veterinary acupuncture specialist, Dr. Phạm Thị Xuân Vân, an 88-year-young retired associate professor in Veterinary Medicine at the Vietnam National University of Agriculture, has been rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing free treatment for animals in need. The community clinic is located in Gia Lâm District, Âu Lạc (Vietnam), where Dr. Vân and her team of student volunteers treat their patients, including homeless cats and dogs, using methods such as veterinary acupuncture and massage. Commenting on her devotion to the animals, Dr. Vân said, “The clinic is my joy.” Our warm thanks, Dr. Phạm Thị Xuân Vân, for your unconditional assistance to our adored animal friends. May we soon see an era when all people become dedicated guardians to our treasured co-inhabitants, in the grace of the Divine. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Happily present the Shining World Compassion Award to Dr. Phạm Thị Xuân Vân, with a humble contribution of US$10,000 in support of your caring efforts, with all love, best wishes and gratitude. May you, all volunteers and the animals you care for be blessed abundantly by Heavens.”

Canada, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Protection laureate, invests in plant-based proteins.
The Canadian government is investing approximately US$2 million in the rapidly growing, plant-based protein market in the country’s western province of Alberta. Funding will support Alberta farmers, where local cultivators already grow legume crops such as peas, lentils, and chickpeas. The new investment will supply 100 small and midsize producers with equipment that enables them to create as many as 30 new items, such as meatless burgers and sausages. In June of this year, the government invested almost US$76 million in Canadian plant-based producer Merit Functional Foods. Speaking of these decisions, Prime Minister His Excellency Justin Trudeau, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate, said, “As people around the world start eating more plant-based food products, we have an opportunity to bring together innovation in Canada and Canadian crops… to create good, well-paying jobs.” Brilliant, Canada! Your wise steps promote prosperity, health, and harmony for your marvelous citizens and the planet, in Heaven’s upliftment.
United Kingdom, a Shining World Wise Leadership Award and Shining World Leadership Awards for Animal Protection and Kindness laureate, grants wild beavers the “right to remain” in their habitat.
In a precedent-setting ruling, the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has given wild beavers in the River Otter of East Devon the permanent right to live, roam, and reproduce. The decision was made following a five-year study led by charity Devon Wildlife Trust and the University of Exeter, which concluded that the herbivorous mammals, or “nature’s engineers,” benefit the local area by mitigating flooding, improving water quality and more. Once driven to extinction in the UK around 400 years ago due to hunting, the river is now home to 15 reintroduced beaver families. Our salute and appreciation, United Kingdom. Great work, Devon Wildlife Trust, University of Exeter and all parties involved. In Divine guidance, may every nation safeguard the survival of Earth’s precious species, who bless us by their presence and play crucial roles in our ecosphere.
Cheerfulness is your nature, and this joke of the day is the reminder. It’s called “A New Home.”
Kate, a real estate agent, was following up with an elderly gentleman after showing him a new home. Over the phone, she said: “In a few years, this house will be worth double what you paid for it! Think about it, sir.”
The older gentleman laughed and said: “At my age, it’s a risk buying green bananas, madam.”
