Britons to get subsidy from UK government for hosting Ukrainian refugees.
Almost 140,000 British citizens have signed up to offer their homes as temporary housing to Ukrainians in need. The enthusiastic response came within just two days of the program’s launch. Each sponsor may claim £350 per month from the government to help host a Ukrainian family. Local authorities will receive £10,500 per person from the national government for support services and extra funding for school-age children. Ukrainian refugees are permitted to stay in the UK for three years with the right to study, work and access public services. Some British companies are offering employment to the newcomers. The United Kingdom is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership for Caring Award, Shining World Wise Leadership Award, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection, Animal Protection and Kindness. Many thanks, Britons, for your generosity and kindness. We pray that all displaced Ukrainian friends will soon find safe homes and comfort, in Heaven’s generosity.
National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) space telescope’s mirror segments undergoing alignment process to help view universe’s first stars.
The US space agency launched the James Webb Space Telescope into orbit late last year to enable NASA to look back in time 13.5 billion years and view the formation of galaxies after the Big Bang. The instrument is now located 1.5 million kilometers from the surface of our planet, orbiting a special spot called Lagrange Point 2. Recently, the fifth out of seven stages for the mirror segment alignment process was completed. When all stages are finished, the space telescope will be able to take clear photos using infrared light. The first images are expected by June or July 2022. Way to go, NASA, for smoothly preparing the James Webb Space Telescope for use. In the wisdom of the Providence, may our curiosity and knowledge of the origins of the cosmos lead to a greater investigation of the Heavens within. Vegan side effect: Ur figure will thank u.
Up next, advertising restrictions for unhealthy foods in London, UK’s transport system linked to junk food sales drop. We’ll just take a moment to thank airbag designers who create airbags for vehicles that inflate quickly and then deflate to protect the occupants during collisions. Hi, kind viewers, it’s Howie, a vegan handyman from the Hawksbill Turtle kingdom! My life is engulfed in beauty and harmony as I follow the heart-opening path of compassion. We can meet each other along this way towards a radiant, peaceful future. Here is a neat way to carry a large frame or sheet of plywood. Using an 18-foot or 5.49-meter long rope, form a loop and wrap it around two corners. Then simply use the rope as a handle to pull. You won’t have to worry about straining your back this way. Thank you for watching and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, the weather from around the world.
Decline in junk food sales recorded in London, UK, after transportation system’s advertising restrictions implemented.
A study led by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine recently evaluated the effectiveness of restrictions on outdoor advertising for unhealthy foods across the London Underground, Rail network and bus stops. Using data on approximately two million grocery purchases, a significant 6.7% decrease in average weekly household purchases of high fat, salt and sugar foods and drinks was observed in areas affected by the advertising restrictions. Weekly purchases of energy in calories from confectionary and chocolate also fell by 19.4%. Our thanks, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine researchers, for showing that the transport system is an impactful location for policymakers to implement health strategies for supporting healthy eating and addressing obesity. May governments worldwide soon utilize advertising tools in transportation networks and elsewhere to promote the benevolent vegan diet and save all lives, in God’s eternal Grace.
University student builds 2.3 meter-long canoe from mushrooms.
Katy Ayers, a student at the Washington State University in the United States, built a canoe using the roots of the common fungus mycelium to raise awareness of fungi as a versatile and eco-friendly building material. Inspired by the documentary “Super Fungi,” Ms. Ayers contacted William Gordon, owner of Nebraska Mushroom, about creating “MyConoe.” The canoe, which took nearly half a year to plan and grow, has set a Guinness World Record for the “longest fungal mycelium boat” and raised awareness of mycelium as a building material on social media. The versatile material can naturally break down harmful, and even radioactive, pollutants and be molded into a whole range of everyday objects, accessories, and tools. The pair are now working on mycelium-based bee-person hotels to conserve solitary bee- and wasp-people populations. Great job, Katy Ayers and William Gordon, for your creative eco-endeavors. In Divine guidance, may we soon see more such nature-inspired technologies as we move towards a greener world.
Eleven-year-old boy fundraises to support rescued cat-people.
Jonah Angerame from Melbourne, Australia, started “Bookmark Buddy” to help stray feline-person friends by selling bookmarks that he designed. His colorful artwork often depicts cat-people but also includes dog-people, UFOs and other themes. The young entrepreneur raised over US$1,000, which will go to animal-people rescue groups helping feline-persons. Jonah is particularly concerned about older cat-people who are more easily overlooked in shelters by advocating for and helping them find forever loving homes. “A lot of older cats become homeless, and people don’t want to adopt them because they are old and they would like to adopt a kitten instead,” Jonah shared on his website. We gratefully applaud your caring spirit, tenderhearted Jonah Angerame. In Heaven’s delight, may many people be inspired by your noble mission and openhearted compassion towards our four-legged friends. “I don’t want to eat anything that has a mother.” ~ Fred Rogers (vegetarian)

Chinese vegan food production company records exponential growth.
Starfield, a China-based plant protein food firm, recently raised a further US$100 million in funding to continue its rapid national expansion. Since its inception in 2019, Starfield has completed five rounds of funding, reflecting the quick growth in the plant-based food technology sector in the country. The brand’s main product is the vegan Master Black Pepper Plant-based Beef which is like beef pastrami but without any nitrites, preservatives, cholesterol, or trans-fatty acids. “Starfield will continue to launch more affordable, delicious and healthy plant-based green food products based on plant-based protein technology … thereby delivering a sustainable lifestyle,” said Starfield CEO Kiki Wu. The company is working with more than 100 brands such as Hey Tea, Luckin Coffee, and Dicos. Kudos, Starfield! May all consumers and investors soon know the benefits of the vegan lifestyle and support a vegan future, in Buddha’s compassion.
Renowned Indian filmmaker encourages wise urban planning to help sparrow-people.
On March 20, filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan helped inaugurate a year-long sparrow conservation program at Kerala state’s first-ever sparrow park that is located in Thiruvananthapuram city. The initiative is sponsored by the city’s Writers’ and Nature Lovers’ Forum and the state Forest Department. The film director installed a sparrow nest box at the park and called upon urban planners to give due consideration to avian- and other animal-people when making decisions on land development. Mr. Gopalakrishnan also spoke of the numerous plant and animal-person species that are heading for extinction due to humanity’s lack of concern and stated that it would lead to the loss of human life. We are touched, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Writers’ and Nature Lovers’ Forum and the Forest Department, for your noble efforts to preserve and protect our beloved sparrow-people friends. May they thrive and bring much happiness with their songs, in Celestial splendor.
Let’s now enjoy a hearty laugh with the joke of the day, entitled “Ray of Sunshine.”
A vegan restaurant owner talks to a friend about her new cook…
“So, tell me, how is your new cook?”
“The new cook is a little ray of sunshine.”
“Does that mean she cooks well?”
“No, she burns everything!”

Appreciative Ezra, Master offers words of support in this reply to you: “Gracious Ezra, I remain deeply concerned for Catholics and pray that their faith in Jesus Christ supports and guides them as the church’s leadership has failed them.
