I would like to share some parenting tips on how you can help your children develop emotional intelligence skills. Emotional intelligence is a key indicator for happiness and success throughout life. You can help children develop this trait by taking time to talk and reflect with them which emotions they noticed in people they interacted with during the day. This will help them become aware of others’ feelings by observing their body language and facial expressions. By regularly discussing emotions with them, it becomes second nature for young family members to do the same, helping them identify their own emotions. Furthermore, be flexible and maintain calm reactions in emotionally-charged situations so as to encourage your children to emulate similar behavior. By refraining from yelling or overreacting, you become a role model that allows your youngsters to develop their own awareness and self-control skills.
We’re not joking that it’s time for the joke of the day! It’s called “Moving Day Mishap.”
A father and son were moving a refrigerator to their new apartment. As they took a break, the conversation started:
“Dad, which floor are we moving to?”
“Our new apartment is on the 6th floor.”
“OK, just one more floor to go!”
“Well, not exactly.”
“What do you mean?”
“Sorry, I just realized we're in the wrong building.”
?!
And now we have a heartline from Hazel in Chicago, United States:
Dear Beloved Supreme Master, I live in Chicago in the USA. I first encountered You and Your teachings as a teenager through television. I was feeling that my very existence was destined to find You, and at that time, I believed You were in Âu Lạc (Vietnam). Despite my earnest attempts to meet You, the geographical barrier left me with sadness. During my time in Mongolia, a lack of information hindered my pursuit, and couldn’t find the opportunity to get initiation. As life unfolded, numerous things happened in my life, and my fervent desire to seek initiation gradually faded away.
Luckily, this year, You graced my dreams for three consecutive nights, rekindling the flame of my long-standing wish to connect with You. Then I discovered a Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association meditation center in Chicago. However, upon reaching out to the contact person, I learned that initiation activities were not currently available. In the United States, I stand among many others eagerly awaiting the chance to receive Your initiation. I am deeply grateful for Your precious teachings and powerful messages. Wishing You the utmost protection and blessings in Your life. It would be an immense honor to be counted as Your disciple. Thank You very much, Beloved Supreme Master. Hazel from Chicago, United States
Gentle Hazel, We hope to embrace you as part of our big family soon.
Our Beloved Master has a wise message for you: “Sweet Hazel, a sincere heart is heard by Heavens and will be answered. Life on this Earth is always topsy-turvy, and there are many obstacles to test our determination to seek spiritual liberation. Nevertheless, faith is something that one should never let go of, as we are always guided by the Divine. Please continue to be in contact with some centers to be informed if/when the initiation will take place, and ask them to notify you. May you and the amiable people of the United States be eternally blessed. Love you!”
