Gaza receives financial aid from Qatar.
His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar and a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate, has designated US$360 million for 12 months of assistance to Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip. The State of Qatar is also a Shining World Leadership Award for Peace laureate. The generous grant will help keep power stations operating, pay salaries to employees and stabilize the challenging humanitarian situation. Notably, Qatar’s Gaza Reconstruction Committee has already supervised the distribution of cash assistance to underprivileged residents. Each of 100,000 families received US$100 through postal banks, where social distancing was required for the safety of the beneficiaries. We offer our heartfelt gratefulness to Your Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for such inspiring generosity. May those with much always give to those with little so that inequities of all kinds may be redressed, in Allah’s comforting care.
United Nations urges “Making Peace With Nature” in new report.
The United Nations Environmental Programme has released a report that outlines the three biggest emergencies the world faces, as well as suggestions on how to solve them. The three threats are climate change, biodiversity loss, and air and water pollution, which have all reached critical levels that are endangering our continued existence on the planet. To solve these issues the report suggests that governments stop subsidizing industrial agriculture and fossil fuels, more natural areas are protected, and pollution is taxed. It states, “Changing the dietary habits of consumers, particularly in developed countries, where consumption of energy- and water-intensive meat and dairy products is high, would reduce pressure on biodiversity and the climate system. These habits are a function of individual choices but are also influenced by advertising, food and agricultural subsidies and excess availability of cheap food that provides poor nutrition.” Thank you, United Nations Environmental Programme, for your timely warnings on the state of the planet due to our activities. In the Grace of the Divine, may we quickly implement your suggestions at a global level as each person switches to plant-based food and a sustainable lifestyle.
Up next, society’s pandemic response is inhibiting additional diseases. We’ll take a moment to thank the theology professors who teach about the nature of God, the human experience of faith and how different people and cultures express it. Good day, gentle viewers! I am Luella the vegan Saola. I have been endowed with great speed and endurance, which I sustain by eating a plant-based diet. Be vegan like me, and you will be outstanding too! If you want to bake a perfect cake, I have a tip for you. This is especially useful when you are planning to decorate your creation and want the top to be flat. All you need is an old towel, a pair of scissors and two large paper clips or safety pins. Cut a strip of cloth that is as wide as the height of your round cake pan. Moisten it and then wrap it tightly around the outside, securing it with the paper clips or safety pins. The moisture from the towels will help the cake layer to bake more evenly. So put the pan in the oven, bake as usual and voila. You have a winner! Thank you for tuning in, and lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Now, the worldwide weather.
Doctors gain time to research mystery illness.
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in the United States, pandemic protocols like social distancing and mask-wearing have yielded the extra benefit of inhibiting almost all respiratory viruses and bacteria. This includes enterovirus D68, which has been associated with acute flaccid myelitis – a troubling condition that can cause paralysis, mostly in young children. In 2020, there were only 29 confirmed cases of the disease in the US, providing some relief to busy epidemiologists. But they caution – looking ahead to a tapering of COVID-19 – that there could be a resurgence of the most common infectious ailments as people drop their guard. We offer our profound gratitude to all medical professionals who do everything possible to nurture wellness and relieve physical discomforts. In God’s mercy, we pray that the world’s suffering will dissipate as humanity accepts veganism as the ultimate cure.
Nutritious crops are being grown without sunlight.
As part of a campaign in Paris, France, to turn abandoned underground sites into public-spirited projects, a parking garage has been repurposed into an organic farm. A company called Cycloponics is growing white button, oyster and shiitake mushrooms as well as chicory and microgreens, such as miniature broccoli. As the crops are harvested, employees deliver them to local grocery stores by bicycle. Combined with their two other locations in Strasbourg and Bordeaux, Cycloponics currently grows between 100 and 200 kilograms of mushrooms per week. Thanks to the popularity of its fresh, high-quality produce among city dwellers, the firm has plans to expand its activities in the French capital. Way to go, Cycloponics, for your innovative use of empty space that benefits the community. In the guidance of the Providence, may more people understand the importance of locally and sustainably grown plant-based food.
Essential workers receive unexpected kindness.
As a storm was passing over Rhode Island, USA, two volunteers walked through the parking lots at Westerly Hospital removing snow from employees’ cars. Christian Stone had told his mom’s friend, Abbey Meeker, that he wanted to do something nice for the nurses as a way of saying thank you. He explained it to NBC 10 WJAR television this way: “I was just thinking, they help us a lot. They’ve been helping us a lot through this whole pandemic. And I figured, why don’t we help them?” The fifth grader and his partner worked all afternoon and into the evening to clear about 80 vehicles so that people could get home faster at the end of their shifts. God bless you, Christian Stone and Abbey Meeker, for your wonderful service! We pray that your sense of loving oneness will soon permeate our awakening world.

Greek company specializes in cheese alternatives.
Violife has been making vegan foods since the 1990s. Its entire range of offerings is free from lactose, genetically modified organisms, gluten, nuts, soy, preservatives and cholesterol. But what really makes the brand popular in more than 50 countries is the satisfying texture and taste of the products. The innovative firm has recently launched plant-based smoky cheddar round slices, which they say is a market first. The rind-like outer edge is infused with hickory smoke to achieve the unique flavor. Violife says that cheese substitutes, as a category, have experienced continued growth in spite of the pandemic, with sales up on average more than 48% since the first lockdown in 2020. Well done, Violife! We applaud your vision and commitment to plant-based nutrition. As the power of love replaces the love of power, may our planet be reborn as a glorious new vegan Eden.
Loss of habitat leads to encounters with orangutans.
In August 2020, an adult male orangutan wandered into Sungai Besar in the Indonesian part of Borneo. Like others of his kind, the primate was looking for food and shelter since much of the rainforest has been lost to human activity. Rescuers dubbed him Boncel and translocated him back to the forest to prevent conflicts with local residents. But the great ape turned up several months later in another village and caused a disturbance by eating people’s pineapple plants. The same teams joined forces again and spent more than seven hours moving Boncel to a more remote area. We sincerely appreciate the efforts of the Wildlife Rescue Unit of the Natural Resources Conservation Agency and International Animal Rescue. In the light of Allah, we pray that global consumers will help stop habitat loss by refusing to support industries that exploit vital natural resources.
Nothing relieves tension faster than a hearty laugh. Please enjoy today’s joke entitled “Infrequent Experience.”
A man was on a business trip and went to a fancy restaurant to have dinner.
"How would you like the chef to prepare your vegan steak, sir?"
"It should be like winning an argument with my wife."
"Ah, rare it is, sir!"
And now we have a heartline from Tao-Tao in Taiwan, also known as Formosa:
Gracious and respected Master, My family has a chihuahua, who is 105 years old already. Despite her age, she is like a kid, very funny and cute, and she often gives advice to our family. I'm not an animal communicator, but I hear her voice when I meditate, and sometimes she sends me messages in words and images. With the severe outbreaks of COVID-19, she wrapped a plastic bag around her body and said, “This is not the life I want. I want to live with you for a long, long time.” When my niece was looking for a job after her graduation from college, she said, “I'm going to start a vegan kindergarten, and my family members can be the teachers.” When some neighbors visited us, she laughed at them and said that they were “still playing with toys like kids.” (Because all five of my family members practice the Quan Yin Method, but the neighbors did not.) When my daughter wanted to buy stocks, she warned, “This is opportunistic speculation. Don't do it. Maya will make the people with heavy karma lose money.” She also said, “Humans live day by day, we dogs do the same.” When we shopped too much on the Internet, she reminded us, “Master said that wasting too many material blessings would create bad karma. You should focus on spiritual practice.” When my niece had a stomachache, she made a list of foods that she should avoid. When my nephew had problems at work, she said, “You can find a way out even in the snow,” and he succeeded indeed. Animals are very spiritual and powerful. They are loving and caring, and always help us, humans. I sincerely hope that all humans will be kind to animals and become vegan, so the vegan world will come as soon as possible. Tao-Tao from Taiwan (Formosa)
Caring Tao-Tao, Thank you for relating these stories about your animal companion. We are inspired by the reminder of how intelligent these beings are and forever grateful for their inner wisdom.
Master has a reply for you: “Loving Tao-Tao, I thank you for sharing these wonderful insights. Animals are a tremendous help to the world. Their presence alone is already supporting because they bring divine, pure, undiluted, and unpolluted power into this world. Some even bring inspiration to your life and answer your questions. I pray every day for all beings on this planet to love and respect one another. In the Mighty Heavens’ Grace, may you and exquisite Taiwan (Formosa) be forever blessed.”
