In the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association Relief News from Germany…
Republic in the Horn of Africa receives humanitarian aid.
A drought in Somaliland that started in 2015 is still going on, resulting in widespread food insecurity. In April 2021, the National Disaster Preparedness and Food Reserve Authority (NADFOR) issued a statement seeking emergency humanitarian nutritional assistance from the international community. Taiwan (Formosa), a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion recipient, responded by sending 560 tons of rice, which arrived in June. It is estimated that more than 18,000 needy families will benefit from this gift. Additionally, the two governments are beginning to collaborate on improvements in health care, agriculture and education. We offer our sincere accolades, Taiwan (Formosa), for your generous heart and oneness with the sensitive people of Somaliland. We pray for the speedy arrival of World Vegan to stabilize the climate and minimize the suffering on Earth, in the abundant mercy of Allah.
Research organization estimates vaccine spending over the next five years.
According to US-based IQVIA Holdings Inc., it will take until the end of 2022 for 70% of the world’s population to receive its first complete COVID-19 vaccination dose. The health data company also anticipates the need for booster shots every two years, raising the total cost of COVID vaccines worldwide to US$157 billion by 2025. However, it is unclear when individuals will need another dose to renew the original immunity. One vaccine manufacturer, Pfizer Inc., has indicated that boosters may be necessary within a year, while the United States government is making plans to revaccinate its citizens after only nine months if necessary. Thank you, IQVIA, for your perspective on the anticipated spending to protect people’s health. May countries prevent future pandemics by banning animal products and promoting the wholesome vegan lifestyle, in Divine upliftment.

Hallo, cheerful friends! How are you today? I’m Václava, the vegan Vaquita. I am endowed with surprising speed and ease of movement, which I sustain by eating a plant-based diet. Be vegan like me, and you can be agile too! Here’s an important tip for those of you with children. Oxytocin is a hormone released by the pituitary gland that helps mothers give birth and breastfeed their babies. Studies have shown that it is also a factor in allowing individuals to bond with each other through feelings of trust and generosity. Parents can improve oxytocin levels in their children by hugging, kissing or just speaking sweetly to them. Expressions of love positively impact kids’ physical, emotional and cognitive well-being. And so a word to the wise: Be sure to communicate your affection to them frequently! Thank you for your attention. And love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the global weather.
New company leverages technology to clean up the environment.
British startup Ellipsis Earth uses drones fitted with high-resolution cameras to quickly survey large areas and map the location of waste material. It has developed image recognition software that can identify the type, size and sometimes the origin of the litter. This information facilitates trash removal and interventions that can minimize future trash. For example, Ellipsis motivated authorities in the Galapagos Islands to ban single-use plastics. In Sorrento, Italy, the city relocated bins and ashtrays to achieve a 70% reduction in cigarette litter. The town council in Bournemouth, UK, receives ongoing drone reports on neighborhood trash issues for improving street cleaning schedules. The firm also produces impactful educational materials to evoke more mindful behaviors from society. We salute your brilliant work, Ellipsis Earth, and pray that our planet will soon be free from all contamination, in the radiance of the Providence.
Equines dig for water in the desert.
When biologist Erick Lundgren was in Arizona, USA, studying river systems, he noticed how feral donkeys and horses dig in the sand to reach desert groundwater. In his recently published research paper, the scientist explains that the animals do this not only for themselves but also for the benefit of other species. Mr. Lundgren and his colleagues monitored sites in the Sonoran Desert, setting up trail cameras to record the digging activity and subsequent utilization. Visitors to the equid wells included mule deer, mountain lions, bobcats, black bears, javelinas, scrub jays and many more. In some abandoned water holes, the researchers observed that river tree species such as cottonwood had sprouted. We are impressed by your findings, Erick Lundgren and fellow biologists. May your work help us to have more appreciation for our intelligent animal co-inhabitants, in the wisdom of Heaven.
Generous young woman strives to make others happy.
When Italy was under lockdown due to COVID-19, Rebecca Di Biagio was inspired to start a charitable project that would lift people’s spirits. She collects used dolls and gives each one a complete makeover, including hair, outfits, and accessories. When finished, Ms. Di Biagio packages the toys and brings them to a plaza where she randomly offers them to passersby. As an extension to her successful charity, the kindhearted artist now conducts workshops where she teaches individuals with autism how to fix dolls the way she does. The attendees are pleased with their sense of purpose, and their teacher is satisfied that less plastic will wind up in landfills. Our heartfelt applause, Rebecca Di Biagio, for your loving assistance to society and the environment. In Celestial splendor, the more we extend our understanding and care to others, the more we will see Heaven on Earth.

Montreal restaurant’s new menu is entirely plant-based.
At Chez Zac Pizzeria in Quebec, Canada, business in their first year was good, but management realized that too many meat toppings were regularly going to waste. So in June 2021, they decided to shift their business model and go vegan. They now offer 13 kinds of animal-free pizza, also available by the slice. One of the most popular varieties is the award-winning Lisa Simpson, consisting of marinara sauce, vegan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and almonds. Another top favorite is the Thai, featuring peanut sauce, artichoke hearts, cilantro, roasted red peppers, green onions, sriracha and vegan cheese. The eatery has also endeared itself to the community by sponsoring fundraising events for animal shelters. We celebrate your transition, Chez Zac, and applaud what you are doing for the animals and humans. In Celestial favor and protection, may your restaurant flourish at the forefront of humanity’s vegan awakening.
An orphaned rodent displays devotion.
Mehmet Yuksel, who owns a jewelry store in Turkey, rescued a baby squirrel that lost his mother and hurt one of his paws. Mr. Yuksel named him Memocan and started bringing him to work. Surprisingly, the little one seems to understand the importance of money and gold. When left alone, he guards the cash register fiercely and allows only Mr. Yuksel’s hand in the drawer. But Memocan also likes to scamper around his human friend’s body, to the delight of customers and the relief of employees who need to complete sales. Although Mr. Yuksel enjoys the animal’s company, he intends to return Memocan to the wild once his injury has healed. We heartily commend you, Mehmet Yuksel, for your compassion, and the cute squirrel for his cleverness. In Allah’s light and love, we pray for people to see how precious the life of every sentient being is.
Here’s your chance to chuckle with our joke of the day called, “Baby Talk.”
Two recent high school graduates got hired to work at a daycare facility. They met on their first day at work and introduced themselves.
“Hi, I’m Tiffany. What’s your name?”
“I’m Jane, nice to meet you.”
“What’s your little friend’s name?”
“I don’t know. I keep asking him, but I can’t understand a word he says!”

And now we have a heartline from Hye-ri in Korea:
I have loved dogs since I was young. My entire life I’ve rescued and adopted many dogs, and they’ve been with me. I adopted an old black standard poodle girl from the Gyeongsan City Shelter on November 16, 2020. This shelter protects abandoned dogs for a certain period of time and then euthanizes them if no owner or adopter turns up. I named her Ruby, the jewel. Ruby probably would have been euthanized because no one wanted her. Ruby was very thin and about eight years old when she came to my house. And she had inflammation in her left ear, so there was a lot of pus in her ear and a lot of smell. I had to clean Ruby’s ear every morning and evening. Every day before I go to work, I take my companion dogs for a walk in the mountains. My dogs love going for walks the most and are happiest when they can run around as much as they want. When I first took Ruby for a walk, she could not even walk well. I guessed she’d been locked up for a long time. I fill a large container with vegan canine food so that my dogs can eat as much as they want at any time. She ate a lot for a month as if she’d been starving for a long time. When I come home from work, I make warm rice for them. And I grind the plant-based soy meat in a blender and put it in that rice. Also, I add two capsules of vegan probiotics and yeast and mix it in as well. My dogs love this meal so much. When I give this delicious meal to Ruby every evening, she loves it so much that she eats it all in no time. After two months of this vegan diet, Ruby’s severe ear inflammation was cured naturally. When she first came to my house, she was 15 kilograms, but now she gained a lot of weight and is 19 kilograms. With a vegan diet, she has become extremely healthy now. So, nowadays, when we go for a walk, Ruby runs around. When I say I feed my dogs vegan food, people would usually say we have to give them meat because dogs are omnivores. But now I see my Ruby has proved that a vegan diet makes dogs healthy. There is too much animal product in canine food. Every night, I pray for a vegan world. I hope this world becomes a vegan world so that we can also have more variety of vegan canine food. There are seven more dogs in my house. They were all abandoned dogs. I rescued some of my dogs from the street. And I adopted a few other dogs from a shelter that euthanizes them after a certain period of time. Before they came to my house, their lives had been unhappy and hard. But after they came to my house, they became so happy.
Every day I hear them thanking me so much and telling me that they love me. My heart is full of their love and happiness. I’m grateful to Master for leading me on this path of happiness. Master, I would like to become a good disciple through meditating diligently, saving animals, and helping people. Master, I truly love You, and I am always grateful to You. Hye-ri from Yeongcheon, Korea
