In parts 1 and 2 of our program, Brian Richter explained the urgency of the world’s water shortages, and shared some tips. The production of food is the most water-intensive water use on the planet. Vegetables and fruits and that sort of thing, generally they require a lot less water than other food choices. In answer to a question at the “Save Our Earth Conference 2009” in Korea, Supreme Master Ching Hai highlighted that the adoption of a vegan diet would not only ensure the conservation of water within a nation, but also allow countries to share resources with one another.
