“In India, people are very simple and pure. Many of the Masters are married, have wife and children; sometimes don’t have children. But they also revere the wife of the Master. They don’t criticize, say, ‘Oh, Master, why have a wife?’ In most of the cases, the Master had a wife before becoming a Master. So, if the Master was not home, they came and sat in front of the wife of the Master, also looking at her for a Darshan. ‘Darshan’ means looking at the Master, reverently. And not just married, but some other instances, like the Master has an assistant, like Sri Aurobindo, as an example. Sri Aurobindo had a French female assistant, and they, the disciples, the followers also revered her and called her ‘Holy Mother.’” … “OK.
