In today’s news, step toward peace made in Yemen, oceans have been absorbing more CO2 than previously thought, United States study shows benefit of replanting forests, Egypt expands green energy development, Indian entrepreneurs collect farm waste to reduce air pollution, Swiss manufacturer introduces vegan red cosmetic coloring, and state of Washington bans wildlife hunting contests in United States.

Exchange of detained individuals brings hopes for peace in Yemen.

In mid-October, the Yemeni government and Houthi leaders exchanged more than 1,000 prisoners after ten days of talks in Switzerland. The swap saw the Houthis free 400 people and the Yemeni government release 681 individuals, which represents the largest such exchange since 2018. The United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen, His Excellency Martin Griffiths, praised the operation for bringing immense relief and comfort to families and communities, while also urging for more such releases to continue the momentum toward peace. Our gratitude, Yemeni government and Houthi leaders. With joy for the reunited families, we add our prayers for full reconciliation and harmony in Yemen, by Allah’s grace.

Scientists find more carbon dioxide emissions being absorbed by oceans than previously thought.

A study led by researchers at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom, examined ocean and atmospheric CO2 movement between 1992 and 2018, using a new model that accounts for small temperature changes between the ocean’s surface and a few meters below. Their calculations found that the world’s oceans have actually absorbed about 900 million metric tons of CO2, equivalent to nearly 10% of global emissions. However, while the ocean is helping to remove CO2 from the atmosphere, the water becomes more acidic, which results in further bleaching to the already endangered coral reefs. Thank you, all researchers involved, for correcting our underestimation of the oceans’ great capacity. In Heaven’s support, may we all take immediate actions to stop the planet’s warming, by first switching to a vegan lifestyle.

Up next, study finds benefit of replanting on forestlands. We are going to thank the material planners who ensure an adequate supply of raw materials needed for the manufacturing process. When we return, more rewarding news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television!

Good day, radiant viewers! I’m Polly the Pika. Some say I am agile and fast. My capabilities are due to my plant-based diet. Be vegan, like me! Today we have a tip to share with you from Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai. “A healthy, refreshing drink for you can be made in a few seconds: Soak some chia seeds in cool water for a while till they look ‘puffy,’ beforehand. Add some lemon juice and agave syrup whenever you want to drink it. Deliciously super healthy. God loves you kids.” Wow, so quick and easy! Thank You, Supreme Master Ching Hai. We love You! Thank you all for tuning in, and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now the weather around the globe.

Study shows huge benefit of replanting forests.

Research by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service has revealed that planting trees in the country’s forests that don’t have full coverage could increase their carbon sequestration capacity by 20%. Currently, 14% of the United States’ carbon dioxide emissions are offset by forests and wood products. However, almost 33 million hectares of forestland have less than the optimum number of trees in the area. The study, which reviewed over 130,000 forested plots, recommends focusing on replanting these productive forestlands with fewer trees, rather than planting the same number of trees over wider areas. The study is published in the peer-reviewed journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Thank you, United States Department of Agriculture, for your helpful study that highlights the most effective places to plant new trees for the best climate change-mitigating effects. May our planet’s noble forests be aided to thrive, in the light of the Providence.

Egypt welcomes a new solar plant.

Supported by a US$54 million loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Saudi Arabia-based water and utility company Acwa Power will begin constructing the 200-megawatt Kom Omni photovoltaic power facility in Upper Egypt. It will feature double-sided solar panel modules that harvest two times the usual amount of sun power. When Kom Omni goes live in 2021, it will produce electricity for approximately 130,000 households, help reduce 280,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year, and create more green jobs. State-owned utility company, Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, has signed a 25-year agreement with Acwa Power to buy the plant’s electricity at a low rate and distribute the power through its grid. Thank you, all involved, for prioritizing sustainable energy development. May the world soon enjoy a pollution-free environment in Heaven’s protection.

Indian entrepreneurs help decrease air pollution while supporting farmers to clear fields.

Co-founders of RY Energies, Aayushi Agarwal and Aru Mangla, are organizing locals with machines to clear farmers’ crop stubble after the harvest. The waste is compressed into bails and sold to biomass-based power plants. Normally, the farmers would burn this material, a custom that was found to have contributed to 44% of air pollution in Delhi on November 1st, 2019. Our praise and appreciation, Aayushi Agarwal and Aru Mangla, for your business venture to help clear the air in India as well as support energy production. In Celestial blessings, may we see more and more such smart and cooperative endeavors throughout our world.

Coming up, Swiss manufacturer introduces vegan red cosmetic coloring. It’s time for us to focus on being fully present here and now, to enjoy every moment in our journey of life. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Enthralling News for a Charming World.

Swiss company produces red vegan cosmetic coloring from radishes.

Givaudan Active Beauty, an ingredients manufacturer from Switzerland, has produced a red cosmetic coloring from Chinese red radishes, which can be used in place of insect-based or synthetic coloring in products such as lipstick. The New Red 1805 is from a 100% natural origin and also contains antioxidants that will help to protect lips from free radicals. Moreover, the method of extracting the red pigment from the vegetable is sustainable, decreasing the use of electricity and harmful substances. Way to go, Givaudan Active Beauty, on this widely useful, ethical coloring alternative. May compassion spread across all industries and products, in Divine love.

State of Washington bans wildlife hunting contests.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Commission in the United States, has passed a ruling to prohibit competitions that harm unprotected species, including coyotes, bobcats, crows, foxes and raccoons. With the new decision, Washington becomes the seventh state in the country to ban the cruel and wasteful contests. As one of the champions for the new law, Commissioner Barbara Baker stated, “The majority of Washingtonians respect and value wildlife and this step forward by our Commission is in line with those values…” The Washington State government is a Shining World Leadership Award for Good Governance recipient. Our respectful gratitude, Washington, for doing what is humane and morally right. May all governments uphold the universal principle of “thou shalt not kill” and thus someday protect every animal life, in God’s mercy. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present the Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion to Washington State, with much gratitude and high esteem for your noble efforts to safeguard precious animals. May God grant manifold blessings to your land and her benevolent people.”

Time to ease our minds with some light humor. Here’s the joke of the day entitled “Lesson Learned.”

A Master says to his pupil:

“Do you understand that you don’t really exist?”

“To whom are you telling that?”

And now we have a heartline from Arina in Singapore:

Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai and Supreme Master Television team, I would like to share an interesting encounter I had last year. An initiate brother and I were feeding some fish with vegan bread at a granite quarry located in one of Singapore’s nature reserves. A Malayan water monitor lizard came to us and also fed on the bread instead of the fish. He was compassionate, a true gentleman, and did not consume any fish for the whole time we were there. Amongst a small crowd of onlookers was a reverent monk and his followers. One of his followers exclaimed, “Wow, this monitor lizard is vegetarian.” This enlightening experience reminded me that Master had said that animals are truly sentient and when given a choice, they would choose to be vegan. In the year ahead, I sincerely wish that more people will regain renewed aspirations and become vegan, just like this monitor lizard. He brought us such a strong and beautiful message through his actions: that we always have a choice on what we choose to eat. Special thanks to Master and the Supreme Master Television team who work relentlessly to produce heartfelt programs that are inspiring, uplifting, soulful, energizing and pulsating with love. Thank You, Master, for continually guiding everyone towards noble ideals and a benevolent lifestyle. Wishing our most beloved Master and all the Supreme Master Television team the greatest health, joy, peace, and smooth success in all aspects of your life-saving mission! With all my Love, Arina from Singapore

Perceptive Arina, Thank you for your uplifting and thoughtful message. What a beautiful picture you have painted of feeding the fish, watching the monitor lizard, and enjoying Mother Nature. To know all animals would choose plant foods if possible is truly wonderful. We pray that humanity can overcome the meat-eating habit and see the vegan lifestyle for the life-saving choice that it is. May we all take the vegan path to save the planet, the animals, and ourselves. May God’s grace be with you and charming Singapore, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master has some words for you: “Lovely Arina, I so enjoy hearing such stories like yours as they are a glimpse of World Vegan, where peace and harmony prevail, and the lion lies down with the lamb. Pray for World Vegan and ask those in your circle to do so for Earth’s future. Love Love to you and diverse Singapore.”

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline

It’s been a pleasure to have your company on Noteworthy News. May you and your loved ones be graced by Heavenly benediction.
