Iconic fashion event goes vegan.
The Met Gala, often referred to as the fashion industry’s equivalent of the Oscars, will serve an entirely vegan menu to its guests for the first time since its inauguration in 1948. The annual event, with approximately 450 Hollywood stars, models and designers expected to be in attendance, will be held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, in New York City, USA, today, September 13, with vegan singer Billie Eilish as one of the co-hosts.
Celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson and his team of 10 acclaimed New York-based chefs will prepare a festive menu, featuring vegan canapés, entrées, and desserts to reflect each chef’s professional interpretation of New York City’s cuisine scene. Mr. Samuelsson and the chefs will also share delectable plant-based recipes on Vogue magazine’s Instagram account to motivate its two million followers to go vegan.
Our sincere thanks, Met Gala organizers, Marcus Samuelsson and the team of chefs, for inspiring all towards a plant-based future where being kind is fashionable, in Heaven’s eternal joy. Wishing you the very best of success for the star-studded event.
