In today’s news, Norway supports Palestine refugees, study warns harmful subsidies are driving world’s destruction, plastic carrier bags banned in Cyprus starting in February 2023, water hyacinth help create clothing production jobs for rural women in India, university students in Canada contribute to local youth shelter, startup oat milk company launches products in Singapore and beyond, and two cities in United Kingdom require new buildings to host bee- and bird-people nesting sites.

Norway provides aid to Palestinian refugees.

In February 2022, Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Anniken Huitfelt, affirmed Norway’s donation of around US$124.5 million to support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) for four years. Almost US$80 million will go towards health care, education, social services and relief aid for Palestinian refugees, while approximately US$45 million will provide emergency support, with a focus on child protection and addressing gender-based abuse. UNRWA Commissioner-General, His Excellency Philippe Lazzarini, expressed appreciation for Norway’s commitment and underscored the urgency for adequate funding to secure the rights and essential needs of vulnerable Palestinians, as well as promote stability in the Middle East. Norway is a recipient of Shining World Leadership Awards for Environmental Protection, Humanitarianism, Good Governance and Peace, and a laureate of Shining World Leadership Awards for Animal Protection and Compassion. Our gratitude, Norway and UNRWA, for your steadfast commitment to our brothers and sisters in their time of need. May the noble Palestinian people soon greet brighter days ahead, in Allah’s Grace.

Damaging subsidies fueling world’s extinction.

A new study assesses that countries globally are dedicating at least US$1.8 trillion annually to subsidies that are accelerating the collapse of ecosystems and species extinction. Altogether, US$640 billion are given to the fossil fuel industry, US$520 billion to the agricultural sector, US$350 billion to water projects and US$155 billion to forestry, which includes tax breaks for beef production across the Amazon. Meanwhile, US$50 billion of public money are used to provide incentives to the “marine capture fisheries” sector, which drives overfishing. Put together by The B Team, a global collective of business and civil society leaders, and international coalition Business for Nature, the paper calls for a reform of the damaging subsidies, while shifting towards an equitable, environmentally supportive and net-zero world by 2030. Many thanks, The B Team, Business for Nature and all involved. In God’s Wisdom, may all governments redirect resources to eco-friendly and planet-sustaining initiatives. Vegan: populate the benevolent race on this planet.

Up next, plastic carrier bags prohibited starting February 2023 in Cyprus. We give thanks to the pineapple farmers who cultivate this tropical fruit that is in popular treats like vegan smoothies and desserts. When we return, more significant news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television!

Good day, smart viewers, it’s Levy, a vegan boy from the Lion kingdom. Hear me roar!!! I will protect the meek with all my might! Be courageous like me and go vegan! Here is a little tip for parents with babies. If you’re taking your child on a walk in their stroller, please make sure you strap them in securely, even if it’s a short trip. Strollers with T-straps or a 5-point restraint that comes with shoulder belts are safe and recommended. Ensure the leg openings are not too large so your infant won't slide through them. The handles on the stroller should not be used to hang purses or baby bags, as this could cause the stroller to tip backwards. Thank you for your attention, and lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Now it’s time for the worldwide weather.

Cyprus bans plastic carrier bags.

The Cypriot parliament recently enacted new regulations prohibiting the sale of plastic carrier bags at shops and kiosks beginning February 2023 to help protect the island nation’s environment and citizens’ health. The rules also ban their distribution, supply, production and use. Oxo-degradable plastic bags are outlawed immediately, as they are not fully biodegradable or compostable and have been found to leave plastics in the environment once the bio-additives holding the material together have diminished. Way to go, Cyprus, on your sensible regulations to encourage people to bring their own shopping bags, and thus limit the amount of waste entering the environment. May we quickly convert all aspects of the global economy to be green, and more in tune with the natural world, in Heaven’s blessings.

Saris made of water hyacinth to improve livelihood of rural women in India.

A nonprofit entity promoting clean water, Swachhata Pukare, has joined with nongovernmental organization Naturecraft to support rural women to create Indian saris with thread from water hyacinth. It has hired about 200 women to gather the plants from 30 to 40 ponds in West Bengal. The fine thread extracted from dried plants will be used for manufacturing high-quality saris, with a goal to start selling them in June or July. Once production begins, it is hoped the participants should be able to earn a monthly income. The initiative is also helpful for restoring the pond ecosystem as the water hyacinth tend to dominate through their rapid growth. Kudos, Swachhata Pukare and Naturecraft, for helping economically support underprivileged women while also benefiting the environment. In Divine goodwill, may your forward-thinking efforts succeed as the world creates many more win-win endeavors like yours.

Canadian university students provide essentials to homeless youths.

Celina Lovisotto of Queen’s University and Brooke Baker of Royal Military College of Canada, both in Kingston, Ontario, co-founded the nonprofit Bags of Promise in the spring of 2021 to support unhoused youths in the community. In February, the group brought 30 backpacks containing basic necessities donated by local residents and businesses to the Kingston Youth Shelter and plan to offer more in spring. Ms. Lovisotto was touched by her co-founder’s personal experience of homelessness which prompted the pair to initiate the project. Their organization is committed to raising awareness as well as enhancing access to services and education for unhoused young citizens. Our sincere appreciation, Celina Lovisotto, Brooke Baker and all involved in Bags of Promise. May your dedication in supporting young people bring them much hope and dignity, in the immeasurable kindness of the Providence. Go ahead, make war: then win urself a straight 2 hell lotto 2 keep 4ever.

Coming up, startup oat milk company introduces its products in Singapore and beyond. We’d like to take a moment to pray that we continue to have clean and refreshing water to quench our thirst and hydrate our bodies. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Wonderful News for a Graceful World.

New oat milk company launches in Singapore.

Startup oat milk business, Oatside, recently began production in its factory with full in-house control over the manufacturing chain. The product uses Australian oats as well as Rainforest Alliance certified hazelnuts and Indonesian-African cacao beans. It is free from gums, emulsifiers and preservatives and created to show how delicious plant-based beverages can be. Furthermore, the packaging used is a recyclable paper carton which is certified by the international nonprofit Forest Stewardship Council that promotes sustainable forest management. The three initial offerings: Barista Blends, Chocolate and Chocolate Hazelnut are available online and in Singaporean stores. It has also debuted in Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, and Taiwan (also known as Formosa), and in the future will be sold in Thailand. Compared to the production of cow-people’s milk, 90% less land and water are needed and 70% less emissions are generated. Good job, Oatside, on your successful launch. In Celestial delight, all people soon enjoy delectable vegan products.

British cities implement law to create homes for pollinators.

Brighton and Hove in the United Kingdom recently put into effect a planning condition that obliges all new buildings over five meters in height to have special bricks with holes in them for solitary bee-people. Furthermore, nesting boxes for swift bird-persons are required. Solitary bee-people species make up approximately 250 of the about 270 species in the nation, and they do not build communal hives, make honey, or have a queen. They often establish their nests in the small spaces of the brickwork of older houses; however, new buildings do not contain such gaps. Hence, their potential nesting sites are declining. Other measures environmentalists recommend to promote biodiversity include placing bird feeders, increasing planting, and creating hedgehog holes. A big applause, Brighton and Hove, for your considerate law. May construction regulations worldwide continue evolving so we may share our homes with others, in Divine care.

Looks like the joke of the day has already been delivered to our doorstep. Let’s take a moment to enjoy it. It’s called “Rescue Advice.”

A teacher is explaining to his students how to perform water rescue:

“If you see someone sinking in the water, you should pull their hair to save them. It will be easier for you.”

“But sir, if it were to happen to you, I wouldn’t be able to help you.”

“What do you mean, Frances?”

“Because you don’t have any hair!”

And now we have a heartline from Kartika in Indonesia:

A poem for Dearest Master: A Thousand Sides of God

God is ever so loving Hiers Love is ever shining so bright and warm Like a warm spring sun in the flowery meadows It fills up even the darkest corners of our lonely, cold hearts

It gives life to everything God favors the meek Hes lifts the meek up to the Highest Heavens And gives strength to the weary For in Hiers eyes, they are the Beloved God always sees the best in everything In ugly and humble things

Where no one else bothers to look But God’s eyes always see beauty in everything

God has brilliant humor Hes is the best comedian in the Universe Hes loves to make jokes Hiers laughs are hearty Like that of a pure child

God is the fountain of everlasting joy Hiers presence fills our hearts with calm bliss Hiers voice is a comforting lullaby Hes lights the whole room as Hes walks in And all faces turn into the happiest smiles

God is ever so caring and considerate Hes is good to all And Hiers mercies are over all Hiers works Hes takes care of even the smallest insects Hes sees you when no one else sees you

God is the best lover The most loving mother The true companion for life Hes is the only one who will stay by your side Every step of the way until your long night comes Hiers Love no one can ever fathom For Its depth is more than the deepest oceans And only in Hiers Ocean of Love our spirits shall live forever as one.

P.S. I Love You, Master. I miss You. To Supreme Master TV team: Thank you for always being there. You bring me such joy. Kartika from Indonesia

Creative Kartika, We could not have said it better ourselves! Your description of Master is both accurate and beautiful.

It is our joy to send you Master’s reply: “Faithful Kartika, your beautiful poem does feel like a ‘warm spring sun in the flowery meadows.’ I enjoyed reading it very much! Our world is at a point where turning back to God is the only way for humans to survive into the Golden Age. Let us pray that people soon change their behavior back to the original, all-loving nature that God created. May Hes send you and spirited Indonesia a spring shower of Heavenly Blessings!”

“There will be some ignorant persons saying Buddhist precepts allow meat eating. Due to their past meat-eating habit; they said those words simply according to their own views. But in fact, BUDDHAS AND SAGES HAVE NEVER SAID THAT MEATS ARE FOODS.” ~ Lankavatara Sutra (Buddhism)

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal-people clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline

We sure have enjoyed spending time with you on Noteworthy News. May the love of Heaven be your constant guide and companion.
