In Shining World Caring Award News from Australia …

Yolandi Vermaak fell in love with wombats after meeting a baby joey that simply captured her heart. Years later, she began doing volunteer work with them, which progressed into dedicated rescue projects and the formation of the Wombat Rescue. Part of Yolandi’s efforts involve daily car rides starting as early as 3 o’clock in the morning, and then again at dusk, searching for injured wombats and any living joeys also known as baby wombats. Yolandi helps to rehabilitate the sweet animals, treats them for a highly contagious condition called mange, and campaigns for greater public support of their protection and conservation.

“And I would love for Australians to have this knowledge, to actually really understand the plight of wombats, what mange does: it’s terminal; it makes them suffer; they would die if we can’t help them. But also that there is hope. That they can help; there’re things that you could do. If you can’t contribute in one way, there could be other avenues. And you could probably just talk to your local wildlife group or become involved, become a volunteer, become a voice, talk about wombats, talk about their plight.”

For being a tremendous advocate for these beautiful marsupials, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai offered the Wombat Rescue the Shining World Caring Award plus US$15,000 “with heartfelt love, praises and gratitude. May all involved be forever blessed by God’s grace.”

In addition to presenting the Award letter, crystalline plaque and Master’s financial contribution, our Association members in Marulan, Australia, also gave an assortment of Master’s elevating publications and DVDs to the Wombat Rescue.

“The hours are long, the distances vast, yet the satisfaction you derive from saving these precious innocent animals compels you to continue. In addition to constant rescue efforts, you conduct an outreach program for young adults and children that advocates conservation, raises awareness of the threatened state of the bare-nosed wombat, and educates about ways that we can save these beautiful beings. Every animal has a story to share, every rescue is unique with its own reward, and every day your dream of establishing a haven becomes closer.”

Yolandi shared the story of her gratitude and initial reaction upon learning that her organization was offered the Shining World Caring Award by Master.

“Sometimes life gives you unexpected joys. And when I received Your email the first time, I was in the Blue Mountains searching for a very sick wombat. It was cold; it was miserable; we couldn’t find the wombat. It was really not a great day, and when I had time to sit down and read Your email and go through all the material and the links that You sent me, I thought this is not real. How does Supreme Master Ching Hai, who does international work, and She is so well-known, how does She know about me and the work we do? I felt so humbled and so honored that She actually had an interest to contact me, and I’m really thankful for that. Thank You so much. This is beautiful. I will cherish this forever.”

Yolandi was also deeply appreciative of receiving the award check.

“That money is so needed to help wombats specifically with mange. And I want Supreme Master Ching Hai to know that it will be well spent on saving so many lives. Thank You.”

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to you, Yolandi Vermaak, and all of the Wombat Rescue volunteers who pour their hearts and souls into rescuing and rehabilitating the charming Australian wombats. We wish you every joy and blessing as you carry out this life-saving work, in God’s eternal mercy.

For the full presentation of the Shining World Caring Award to Wombat Rescue, please tune in to our Shining World Awards program at a later date.

Long-term COVID exists due to unique infectious profile.

Researchers of the European Group on Immunology of Sepsis (EGIS) have published a review article stating that some people still suffer health complications months after contracting COVID-19 because of the unique way in which the virus infects the body. It was found that it affects both the upper and lower parts of the respiratory tract, unlike other coronaviruses, which are present in either one or the other. In addition, COVID-19 is also different in that it causes an unconventional immune-inflammatory response, blood clots and impacts multiple organs. The research was published in the esteemed medical journal The Lancet. Thank you, European Group on Immunology of Sepsis, for studying COVID-19 to help find better treatments. May your research soon lead to improved health for all COVID-19 patients as we heal and rebuild our lives in loving kindness to all beings.

Up next, United States engineers develop highly cooling white paint. We’ll just take a little time to thank the hydroelectric plant operators, who oversee operations and control plant equipment related to hydropower generation. Please stay with us for more illustrious news on Supreme Master Television. Be Veg, Go Green = to Save the Children.

Hi there, I’m Bonjol the vegan Borneo Pygmy Elephant! People are head over heels in love with me because I’m vegan. Here is a tip on how to decrease your smartphone’s exposure to bacteria and viruses, including COVID-19. The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend using alcohol-based wipes or sprays containing at least 70% alcohol to disinfect a phone and cleaning it daily. While in the public, avoid placing your device down on surfaces. Simply store it in a coat pocket, purse or car. If you must set your phone down on a shared surface, place it on a napkin. When coming back home, only touch your phone after washing your hands. This way, you won’t have to repeatedly disinfect your device. Lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet, for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. And thank you for watching. Now, the weather around the world.

Whitest white paint ever developed to help cool buildings.

Researchers at Purdue University in the United States have developed the whitest white paint in the world which is capable of reflecting over 98% of sunlight. This would make it an excellent coating for buildings to lessen the heat absorbed. The scientists used different-sized particles of barium sulfate within the substance to reflect the varying color wavelengths in sunlight. It was determined that painting a 93-square meter roof with the material would produce a greater cooling power than central air conditioners used in most houses. The engineers are now collaborating with a company to manufacture and put their paint on the market at a similar price as normal paints. Exceptional news, Purdue University researchers, on your new innovation to cool structures. In the grace of Heaven, may we take swift action to quickly stabilize our planet’s climate.

Europe closing many coal plants to alleviate climate change.

Half of the continent’s 324 coal plants are now closed or will be shuttered within the decade. The halfway point was reached as French utility company Électricité de France recently announced that it would shut down its coal plant in West Burton, United Kingdom, in 2022. The French and British governments intend to phase out coal by 2023 and 2025, respectively. Many countries in the European Union (EU) have recognized the need to quickly transition to renewable energy to meet the EU’s carbon emission goals by 2030 based on its United Nations Paris Climate Agreement obligations. The European Union is a recipient of four Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Earth Protection; as well as a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism and Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring. Thank you, European Union and European nations, for prioritizing coal exit plans and incentivizing industrial transition to alternative energy. May cleaner air and sunnier skies soon be enjoyed Europe-wide, in the guidance of the Providence.

German woman living in India rescues over 20,000 cows.

In 1996, Friederike Bruning (Sudevi Maataji) started the Radha Surabhi Gaushala cow shelter in Uttar Pradesh, India. The charity takes care of about 2,500 abandoned, sick, injured or dying animals that are mainly cows, but also includes buffalos, horses and donkeys. Initially, she funded her work from an inheritance, but since then has been supported by many generous donors and recently raised almost US$234,000 on a crowdfunding platform. In 2018, Sudevi Maataji was honored with the Padma Shri award, which is the fourth highest civilian award in the country for the 20,000-plus bovines that she has rescued over the years. A standing ovation, Sudevi Maataji, for your noble life’s work to care for the gentle cows in India. May your sanctuary always have enough food, medicine and space for the loving bovines and other animals that you care for, in God’s blessings. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Warmly present Sudevi Maataji with the Shining World Compassion Award and US$10,000 in humble support of your benevolent efforts, with much love and wholehearted gratitude for saving so many innocent, vulnerable animals. May Heaven shower your generous soul with abundant blessings and protection.”

Coming up, famous footwear manufacturer launches vegan skate shoe. Let's take a moment to thank the wild animals, who are willing to share with us precious knowledge if we can listen with a loving heart. We’ll return with more uplifting news on Supreme Master Television. Vegan = Love in Action. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Uplifting News for an Exuberant World.

Nike launches vegan version of its popular skateboarding shoe.

The American company recently introduced a vegan edition of its trendy SB Dunk skateboarding shoe. The product is made from animal-free leather and available in a baroque brown color. The cool shoes will be sold in limited quantities at first in some skate shops in Europe as well as the Soul Sneaker Boutique in Mexico. The release follows ongoing growth in the global vegan and sustainable footwear market, which was worth almost US$25 billion in 2020. Other brands recently releasing animal-free shoes include Adidas, Vans, Reebok and more. Wow, Nike, your new vegan shoes look terrific! We look forward to trying them in our local stores. In the loving bliss of the Divine, may all footwear soon be made from earth and animal-friendly materials as we convert our economies and consumption to the intelligent planet-saving way.

PETA, a Shining World Compassion Award recipient, provides free medical care to overworked animals in Jordan.

Since 2019, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)’s veterinary clinic in Petra, Jordan, has given free emergency medical treatment to over 3,000 wounded and abused animals. These donkeys, horses and camels have been forced to carry tourists under inhumane conditions. Led by Head Veterinarian Dr. Hassan Shata, the facility also provides fodder to locals who cannot afford to feed their hungry animals and has a mobile clinic to treat animals in the valleys. Jason Baker, PETA Asia’s Senior Vice President of International Campaigns, said that the organization hopes that the helpless creatures will soon be replaced by mechanized vehicles. Our tearful gratitude and Heaven’s blessings to you, PETA, Dr. Hassan Shata, and Jason Baker. May we always be compassionate stewards of our innocent animal brethren as we enter a new vegan era, in Allah’s benevolence.

Ready for a good laugh? Here’s the joke of the day entitled, “Retribution.”

“Hallo, sir. I’m sorry, but you will be fined for speeding.”

“Please, officer! Can I be excused this time? I’m a teacher!”

“Oh, you’re a teacher?! OK, maybe we can do something. In fact, I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time. Now, can you take a pen and paper and write, ‘I will never speed again,’ 800 times for me.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Tan-Hua in Taiwan, also known as Formosa:

Dear Beloved Master: I had an inner experience during my meditation this morning, which was very incredible. I saw tens of thousands of beings falling into the sea, then a luxurious cruise ship of Supreme Master Ching Hai rising up from the sea. The cruise ship was so huge that it occupied the entire ocean and stretched all the way to the sky. Countless beings were rescued and boarded the giant cruise ship. They shouted and cheered. The Savior has descended into our world. I pray that all beings be awakened as soon as possible to adopt a vegan diet and to lead a virtuous and compassionate life, and board Supreme Master Ching Hai’s giant, luxurious cruise ship to go Home, the New Realm. The Inner Master said: Many people are lost in the ocean of this world, and you have to stay extremely alert and vigilant with each of your steps. Tan-Hua from Taiwan (Formosa)

Fortunate Tan-Hua, Our appreciation for sharing this vital information so that we may all remain strong and true on the spiritual path, guided to our true Home by Master. May Heaven bless your days and those of the cultivated Taiwanese (Formosan) people.

Master has a reminder to keep our focus elevated: “Bright Tan-Hua, indeed to avoid being overwhelmed by this illusory world, we must remember God at all times, see God in all things, and be Divinely guided by our inner Master. I send a big hug with my Love. May the Godses shelter you and the insightful Taiwanese (Formosan) people always.”
