In Shining World Compassion Award News from the United States …
Lauren Ornelas is an animal-people rights advocate and the founder and director of the Food Empowerment Project, a non-profit organization, which works to help the public recognize the impacts of their food choices on the people of the animal kingdom, humanity, and our planet.
“Veganism has showed me different ways that I could try to lessen the suffering in general. So from human to non-human animals, by my individual choices, but also by making sure that I speak out about things, that I’m not silent, that I make sure that I use my voice, and obviously non-human animals have voices, we just can’t always understand the languages. And so making sure that we speak out about injustices as much as we can. And so, I think that that’s really what veganism has given me, is a sense of trying to right injustices that take place.”
In recognition of the impressive accomplishments made by Lauren in over three decades of tireless work, Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Joyfully present the Shining World Compassion Award to Lauren Ornelas, plus US$10,000 for the Food Empowerment Project as a humble token of support for your noble work empowering the underprivileged. With all love, respect, and gratitude, may you enjoy ever more success and may Heaven bless you abundantly always.”
Our Association members in San José, California, USA, were pleased to present the Award letter, crystalline plaque, Master’s financial gift as well as Her publications and DVDs to Lauren. The following is a short excerpt from the letter.
“It is with great admiration and gratitude that we present to you the ‘Shining World Compassion Award’ for creating a just, sustainable and egalitarian society by promoting that plant-based food choices will change the world around us for the better.”
“Thank You. I think that whenever I’m given an award, I think it’s always important to recognize who really the award is for, and that’s for animals all over the world who fight and struggle to survive. Those animals who leap from the slaughterhouse trucks to the animals who escape all sorts of cruelties in order to live just like we all want to. And I think that it’s for them that I accept this award. It’s for all the animals who want to live, all the farmworkers who want to be treated with dignity, and everybody on the planet who wants to be treated with dignity and respect, which everyone deserves. So, I thank You for that honor. On behalf of Food Empowerment Project, we just want to thank the Supreme Master, and everybody within the organization for all that they’ve done to ensure that our work continues and really support our work.”
With elation, we congratulate Lauren Ornelas and the devoted team of the Food Empowerment Project. We wish you God’s Blessings and help to achieve unlimited success as you continue your work to aid the most underprivileged, human and animal-people alike.
For the full presentation of the Shining World Compassion Award to Lauren Ornelas, please tune in to our Shining World Awards program at a later date.
World Health Organization (WHO) cautions Omicron’s reach expanding at unseen pace.
At a media briefing in mid-December 2021, WHO’s director-general Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned that Omicron is, “spreading at a rate we have not seen with any previous variant.” Furthermore, he highlighted that the highly transmissible strain was probably in most countries already. Meanwhile, a study by Professor Hiroshi Nishiura of Japan’s Kyoto University School of Public Health finds that in its early stages of outbreak, the Omicron variant is 4.2 times more transmissible than the Delta variant. To lessen the spread of the contagion, Dr. Ghebreyesus urges countries to not depend on vaccines alone but to also use masks, social distancing, adequate ventilation and hand hygiene. Many thanks for your urgent warnings, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and Professor Hiroshi Nishiura. To prevent zoonotic outbreaks, may countries globally, swiftly ban meat consumption and make vegan food mandatory for all, in the wisdom of the Providence. Vegan side effect: Nah, flesh-munching witches don’t exist!
Up next, first completely automatic textile recycling factory opens in Sweden. Let’s send our love and gratitude to the assisted living nurses who patiently help administer medicine and create wellness programs for the residents. In addition, they also correspond with family members and serve as a liaison to outside health care professionals. When we return, more energizing news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television!
Hi, adorable friends, I’m Sophia, a vegan duchess from the Swan kingdom. I spread my wings to hug the skies and feel grateful for Heavens above. You humans can stretch your arms to do the same! I would like to share a beneficial tip with you! Dental health is crucial and keeping your teeth strong and in good condition is important. You may think chomping on frozen, hard ice cubes is harmless, but this can actually cause your teeth to chip or crack. Not to mention munching on ice can lead to soft tissue irritation inside a tooth that could result in frequently occurring toothaches. Once you get a toothache, even hot or cold foods can aggravate it. Try chewing on sugarless gum rather than ice the next time you get the urge. Thank you for tuning in and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world. Now, the global weather.
Automated clothes sorting plant helping reduce carbon footprint of fashion industry.
Recycling specialists, Germany-based Stadler and Norway-headquartered Tomra, have built a first-ever totally automated textile sorting factory in Malmö, Sweden, that is operated by Swedish waste management company Sysav Industri AB. Previously, such waste had to be sorted manually in an inefficient process and thus usually ended up in landfill. The state-of-the-art facility can sort up to 4.5 metric tons of pre- and post-consumer waste per hour, including yarn, clippings, textile manufacturers’ rejects, household textiles and clothing. The plant is part of the government-funded Swedish Innovation Platform for Textile Sorting (SIPTex) initiative. Sweden is a Shining World Leadership Award for Protection laureate. Such a great accomplishment, Stadler, Tomra, Sysav Industri AB and Swedish government, in building and operating a fully automated textile recycling plant for a greener fashion industry. May such innovations make the industry more eco-friendly as we move toward a circular economy, in Heaven’s brilliance.
Wind energy generation sets historic milestone in Turkey.
On November 28, 2021, for the first time ever, wind power in Turkey became the largest source of electricity generation at 22.6%. Total installed capacity in the nation has reached just over 10 gigawatts. The country has made considerable investments into renewables, including US$1.17 billion in land wind energy in 2020, as it seeks to ensure the security of its power supply. Turkey is also the fifth-largest wind turbine equipment manufacturer in Europe, exporting to 45 countries, and currently one of the 10 largest markets worldwide in wind capacity and equipment production. Good news, Turkey, on your fast-growing renewable energy sector. In the Love of Allah, may your welcoming people be blessed with blissful prayers and ongoing peace and stability.

Korean vegan meat company secures funding to expand production.
Seoul-headquartered Zikooin Company recently received around US$23 million in funding, which includes over US$5 million to build a new alternative meat production facility. The new Clean Meat Factory should be operational in the first half of 2022, and will be almost 9,000 square meters in size, one of the biggest such facilities in Asia. Zikooin upcycles grains such as rice and oats that would otherwise be discarded because of imperfections in appearance to create the plant-brand UNLIMEAT (Unlimited Meat), using its patented protein extrusion technology. The brand’s Asian-style plant-based products include sliced meat, which is already sold at all Subway fast food outlets in Korea and on veg-friendly pizzas at Domino’s Pizza, meatballs, pulled barbecue, mince and more. Fantastic news, Zikooin Company, on your successful fundraising and planned expansion. In the blessings of the Buddha, may the wise Korean people always choose the compassionate plant-based option when selecting meals.
Large-scale conservation and recovery action plan launched to save curlew-people from extinction in Wales, United Kingdom.
Gylfinir Cymru / Curlew Wales, a partnership comprised of the Welsh government and of a number of groups and non-governmental organizations, has launched the “Wales Action Plan for the Recovery of Curlew.” It is a 10-year program of conservation initiatives to address the rapid decline of the species, with numbers decreasing by more than 90% in the last two decades. The plan includes identifying important areas curlew-persons inhabit, enabling farmers and land managers to help create suitable habitats and educating the public on ways to support increasing the curlew-people’s population. Chief Executive of Natural Resources Wales, Clare Pillman, has called the curlew-people, “Wales’s most pressing avian conservation priority.” We wish all involved much success in your caring efforts to help protect the precious curlew-people. May humans and people from the animal kingdom co-exist peacefully on the bountiful Earth, in Heaven’s abundance.

And now we have a heartline from Shu-Qing in China:
Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai and Supreme Master Television team, I like Supreme Master Ching Hai’s photography very much. Master is really good at discovering the beauties of nature and capturing them with Her camera. Master’s photographs are of a fresh and free feeling with excellent composition, color and light. I had the fortune to watch an art professor from England explain each of Master’s photographs from an artistic point of view to the students at an exhibition. The professor was full of praise for Master’s photography, and the explanation benefited all the audience there. I wrote a few words below to express my appreciation for one of my favorite works of art of Master: “It’s totally natural, just like an oil painting – ‘The End of the Clouds.’” I wish the respected Supreme Master Ching Hai good health and that everything goes smoothly for Her. I wish Supreme Master Television gets better and better. Shu-Qing from China
Appreciative Shu-Qing, Our gratitude for sharing your heartfelt thoughts. We, too, revel in Master’s enlightening artworks that uplift and provide Heavenly insights. Those who gaze upon the photos taken by Master gain a feeling of deep peace and serenity. May you and the delightful Chinese people know beauty and abundance in Buddha’s eternal Light. In Celestial joy, Supreme Master TV team
P.S. Master graciously replies to you: “Creative Shu-Qing, I am surprised to read that my photographs have been critiqued by a university professor! Nature touches my heart and speaks to me, oftentimes prompting me to take a photograph. I am pleased these bring you some pleasure. May countless Blessings of the Divine shower you and radiant China with happiness and comfort.”
