With Kherson’s recent liberation from Russian occupation, IsraAID, an Israeli NGO, was able to supply US$2 million worth of urgently needed medications, donated by the global humanitarian organization, Heart to Heart International, to three Kherson City hospitals. The donation was shipped through IsraAID’s Tulcea Humanitarian Logistics Hub. Overall, the IsraAID’s Tulcea Humanitarian Logistics Hub has supplied and shipped over 1,900 tons of urgently needed items. Israel is a Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism and Caring recipient, as well as a Shining World Caring Leadership Award and Shining World Leadership Award for Peace laureate. Highly infectious avian influenza spreads swiftly in the United States.
Since the H5N1 Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) strain was discovered a year ago, the virus has impacted 53 million wild and domestic bird-people across 47 states, with Pennsylvania losing more than 4 million bird friends. Unlike previous bird-people flu strains, the H5N1 virus has also affected some mammals, including fox- , bear-, and seal-people. To date, two people in close contact with the diseased bird-people have been infected with the virus. Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture has been increasing its surveillance on the disease, with efforts to understand the progression of the virus and its ability to spread between domestic and wild bird-people, and across species. Floating solar array in the Netherlands employs innovative sun tracking technology to maximize energy production.
Portuguese company SOLARISFLOAT recently installed a circular island of floating solar panels upon a lake in the Netherlands, producing about 73 kilowatts of power on sunny days. Dubbed Proteus the Greek sea god who was a protector of water bodies, the installation is the first of its kind to precisely track and follow the sun’s rays, making it up to 40% more efficient than conventional solar farms on land. The installation also addresses significant space constraints. Indian artist revives ancient art form.
“Aipan” artist, Minakshi Khati, has revived the ancient art and created jobs for women in her local village, in the Kumaon district of India. Almost every house in the state of Uttarakhand was once adorned with the intricate art made with rice paste and three fingers of the right hand. However, Aipan was fading away and losing popularity. In 2019, Minakriti started “The Aipan Project” to revive the ancient art form with a few local women. The group painted cutlery, nameplates, and wall hangings in the Aipan style, and it took off on social media. People were intrigued by the graceful and intricate drawings of flowers, goddesses, and more. Minakshi currently employs more than 30 women from her village and is training over 20,000 children in Aipan to ensure its continuity. A woman named Wyndolyn Brown from Nova Scotia in Canada, who is a victim of human trafficking has created a non-profit to help protect others. Scottish student union votes to go vegan.
The student union at the University of Stirling in Scotland recently voted to turn their three cafes vegan by 2025, with half of the menu going vegan by the 2023-2024 university year. The transition was voted for by the majority of attendees at a general meeting. The motion was put forth by the Plant-Based Universities campaign, which has the goal of giving people a livable future. More than 40 universities in the United Kingdom are reported to have campaigns to encourage their cafes to go vegan. Way to go, University of Stirling student union, on your sensible move to help save the planet. Molly the magpie and Peggy the English Staffy become besties (best friends).
On a walk with Peggy, Juliette Wells, and her partner Reece Mortensen came across a lone magpie baby wandering around at a local dog-people park in Queensland, Australia. After waiting a few hours for the mother to return, the couple took the baby home and gave her the care she needed. Molly and Peggy grew close, playing, eating, and sharing naps together. When Peggy’s baby Ruby arrived, there was an immediate connection between her and Molly, who used to sing to the pup before she was born. Although Molly is free, she has chosen to stay with her loving family. Videos of the adoring friends have been posted on social media, much to the delight of viewers. Dear Master and Supreme Master TV team, Thank you for enlightening me about the issue of abortion. I have some thoughts of my own after meditation and I would like to share them. The argument regarding abortion has never been about anybody’s choice. It has always been about the ego and ignorance. Each side of the argument is trying to state whether the woman or the fetus has more rights. That’s because human brains don’t have logical means to understand at what stage a baby becomes conscious. Earth’s technology has not reached that stage of development yet to prove consciousness. I soon realized these arguments are made by people who lack wisdom. Only if we are a spiritually advanced race of beings with our wisdom eyes opened, can we see at what stage the fetus starts to have consciousness. Then none of these arguments would matter. Everybody would be against abortion. Everybody would understand fetuses are conscious beings and deserve protection. I truly hope I can witness the day when Earth people can advance to this stage of spiritual development and beyond. Then we will live in accordance with love and kindness. Science will be able to advance so much more hand in hand with spirituality. Until then, I hope Earth people can set their egos aside and follow their hearts, and follow the teachings from past Masters about the harm of abortions.
