In today’s news, Italy provides aid to Syrian children with disabilities, study warns climatic drought stunting growth of European beech, scientists from India can harvest energy from sea waves, United Kingdom companies adopt four-day workweek for employees, United States university receives donation of 35 classic cars to auction off in support of students, two United States firms team up to pioneer trailblazing vegan sneaker, and Kenya’s critically endangered mountain bongo-people successfully reintroduced into wild.

Children with disabilities in Syria get assistance from Italy.

The government of Italy recently donated €1 million to UNICEF to help youth with acute physical or mental disabilities and their families. UNICEF’s integrated program provides cash assistance and individualized social worker help to enhance a child’s well-being, social inclusion, and sense of dignity, as well as to respond to specific protection concerns. The ongoing conflict in Syria, internal displacement, and the economic crisis, as well as the rising prices of goods caused by the global energy challenges, have many families struggling to meet basic daily needs and often young ones with disabilities suffer the most. They may face hunger, loss of education, and the danger of abuse, which is further compounded by a compromised ability to escape from threats. Italy is a Shining World Leadership Award for Public Health Protection recipient. Our accolades, Italy, for your commitment to support the rights of children to be cared for and valued by society and thank you, UNICEF. May the youngsters of Syria always be safe and nurtured in Allah’s Guidance.

Research cautions climatic drought limiting growth of European beech.

In a new study, a team of scientists concluded that the long-term growth and vitality of the European beech are being negatively affected by intensifying climate-related drought and heat stress during summers in northern Germany. In particular, the growth decline is especially pronounced when the growing season rainfall, from April to September, is less than 360 millimeters. Led by Dr. Robert Weigel of the University of Göttingen in Germany, the publication highlights that the beech trees’ vulnerability to drought and negative growth trends are worse in sandier and drier sites, which are in turn driven by climatic aridification. Moreover, the growth depressions are more profound in forests where there is greater competition for water posed by larger trees nearby. Many thanks for the important, concerning study, Dr. Robert Weigel and all scientists involved. May everyone urgently embrace the eco-conscious vegan lifestyle to save Earth’s diverse flora and fauna, in God’s illuminating Wisdom. “Vegan: fight against evil.”

Up next, scientists from India can harvest energy from sea waves. Let's pause for a moment to appreciate watermelon farmers for their hard work and dedication to growing this sweet and juicy fruit, which makes a tasty snack during the summer months. We’ll return with more cheerful news here on Supreme Master Television.

Hooray, treasured friends, it’s me, Pomo, a vegan queen from the Pygmy Marmoset kingdom! I’m a tiny, pretty monkey-individual, living and enjoying my healthy plant-based meals in a big, luscious rainforest. But I really need your help to protect me! We are sadly classified as a vulnerable species. Here is a clothing tip for you. Did you know that a dryer can cause damage to certain clothing items like those containing spandex, elastic, or rubber? The majority of modern activewear is made up of high-tech, synthetic fibers, to help wick away moisture and support your muscles while you exercise. To ensure these garments carry out their function and last longer, steer clear of dryers and let them air-dry after washing. Thank you for watching and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet, thus save the world! Now, the weather around the globe.

Researchers in India develop “Ocean Wave Energy Converter.”

A team from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras recently tested a device called Sindhuja-I, which consists of a floating buoy attached to a spar or pole, creating movement with the ocean waves. The motion between the spar and buoy moves an electric generator which converts into power. Sindhuja-I can currently generate 100 watts of energy, with a future version, to be developed in the next three years, able to produce one megawatt. Professor Abdus Samad and his team have been working on this project for over a decade and explain there is a substantial energy potential from the country’s 7,500-kilometer coast “to make India sustainable by tapping marine energy and net zero carbon emission to mitigate climate impact.” What a noble mission to better the environment, Indian Institute of Technology Madras scientists. May Heaven help us adopt compassionate lifestyles, as we pray to see more beneficial innovations inspired by higher creative sources.

Companies across United Kingdom switch to four-day workweek.

One hundred UK businesses, with a total of 2,600 staff, have permanently implemented four-day weeks, rather than five, with no loss of pay. Proponents of the campaign attest that a four-day workweek improves productivity, thus creating the same output with fewer working hours. This translates into a better work-life balance and improved mental and physical health for employees. Program participant global marketing company Awin, that has about 450 staff in the UK, praised the initiative for the “tremendous increase in employee wellness and well-being” among other positive results. Furthermore, if adopted nationwide, a study found that there would be an environmental benefit of reducing the UK’s carbon footprint by 127 million tons per year, which is equivalent to 27 million cars off the road. Our commendations to all companies taking responsible actions to assist their employees. In the upliftment of the Providence, may all workplaces be harmonious and fruitful for society and the planet.

Couple gifts US$2 million worth of classic automobiles to university.

Retired entrepreneurs Michael and Dianne Morey from Michigan, United States, have donated 35 classic vehicles from their cherished and valuable automotive collection to Northwood University for a worthy cause. The university will keep a special car, a 1958 Chevrolet Corvette, to display on campus in tribute to the Moreys. The rest, which are appraised to be worth around US$2.5 million, will be auctioned off, with proceeds going toward funding scholarships for prospective students and enhancing the school campus. The couple hopes the gift will encourage young people who want to work hard to be successful and positively influence the community. We gratefully applaud your kindness, Michael and Dianne Morey. May your loving donations help bring about a brighter future for many Northwood University students, in the grace of the Divine. “Vegan: tested positive 4 benevolence.”

Coming up, two United States firms team up to pioneer trailblazing vegan sneaker. We’ll take a moment to thank all the elders in our communities whose wise counsel and experience guide the younger generations with wisdom. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more laudable news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Rewarding News for a Better World.

Innovative vegan sneaker launched in United States through collaborative effort.

Vegan sustainable streetwear company UNLESS Collective joined forces with Natural Fiber Welding (NFW) to create a fully plant-based sneaker that is decomposable. Dubbed the “Degenerate,” it is made with NFW’s various green materials, which are used both for the outsole and the cushioning and do not include any plastic. NFW utilizes only bio-based substances in its product development. Eric Liedtke, the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of UNLESS Collective, shared that the shoe can be composted by sending it back to the company, thus providing nutrients for the soil and more. He said, “Degenerate is for anyone who doesn’t want to compromise their style to do what’s right for the planet.” What exciting and welcome news, UNLESS Collective and Natural Fiber Welding. Your visionary creation serves as a model example to other businesses to adopt the Earth-saving, plant-based trend, in Celestial delight.

Kenya’s mountain bongo-persons successfully being rewilded.

With only 100 of the rare bongo-people left in existence, the National Mountain Bongo Recovery and Action Plan was launched in 2019, and in 2022, the 314-hectare Mawingu Mountain Bongo Sanctuary opened near Nanyuki in Kenya. Two groups of 5 mountain bongo-people were released into Mawingu Sanctuary in March and November 2022, and a gorgeous bongo baby has already been born. The initiative plans to rewild 40 to 50 bongo-people by 2025 and 750 by 2050 and is compatible with the government of Kenya's Mountain Bongo National Recovery and Action Plan (2019-2023). For the last two decades, the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy, Kenya Wildlife Service and Kenya Forest Service have been working to rewild the critically endangered bongo-folk. Our appreciation, all groups committed to the health and safety of the exquisite mountain bongo-persons. May the beautiful bongo-people flourish as humanity becomes sacred guardians of the blessed animal-people kingdom, in Heaven’s endless love.

Now, it's time to fasten our seatbelts and place our seat back in the fully upright position as the joke of the day is in our sights. It's entitled, “Best Flight Attendants.”

In his announcement to passengers prior to takeoff, the pilot says:

“Welcome aboard Royal Airlines Flight 77. We are pleased to say we have some of the best flight attendants in the business... Unfortunately, none of them are taking this flight!”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Intan in Bali, Indonesia:

Dear Master, We are very grateful for Supreme Master TV’s broadcasts that bless the world. With this opportunity, we would like to express our gratitude to You, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai, for Your unconditional Blessings. Our three children got initiation in Bali in April 2022. Since then, we feel Your Love and guidance even stronger, so that whatever happens in life, we can go through it with sincerity. Supreme Master, You always bring sincere people to help us. Our bond of love with animal-people is more intertwined. Every day, our neighbor’s cat- and dog-people come to our house. At night, there are unique snail-people playing in my house. Even my youngest daughter became close friends with our neighbor’s dog-people. They always play together in the morning, afternoon, and evening. The dog-people will faithfully wait if the gate has not been opened.

It is hard to describe our gratitude to You, Supreme Master, in words. We pray that You are always protected, and always healthy, so You can continue to guide the disciples. And may more and more families become vegan so the Heavenly mission “World Vegan, World Peace” comes true soon. Once again, thank You very much, Supreme Master, and thank you, Supreme Master TV, for the positive news for all sentient beings in this world. May the Supreme Master TV team always be protected and blessed. Amen. Yours sincerely, Intan from Bali, Indonesia

Joyous Intan, What a beautiful and kind family you have. We thank you for your sincere and tender message to Master.

Master has this welcoming reply for you: “Cheery Intan, your family touches my heart. The world needs more families like yours, initiated, following a vegan diet, and honoring the Five Precepts. It is wonderful to see the caring and harmonious relationships your children have developed with their animal friends in just a short time. This is how the whole of humanity will create peace on Earth. When all hearts are loving and peaceful with all other living beings, then we will have our much-coveted Paradise here on Earth. I encourage the brave people of Indonesia to seek spiritual enlightenment and to let their hearts be transformed by God’s perfect Love. May you, your loved ones, and fragrant Indonesia know peace always. Sending my love to you all, loving family!”

“No 2 vegan: it appeals only 2 intelligent people.”
