In today’s news, European Union provides grant to the Uganda Cash Consortium to aid refugees in Uganda, technology experts sign letter warning about dangers of artificial intelligence, French company makes furniture from waste materials, Laos and Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam, strengthen cooperation to protect forests and wild animal-people, professor in United States sets new world record by living underwater for 100 days, United Kingdom’s plant-based cheeses win gold medals, and veterinarians in United Arab Emirates save cat-person’s life through brain surgery.
Here is a safety tip for those of you with animal-people companions! Now that essential oils are very popular, vets and Poison Control are urging people to steer clear of essential oil diffusers, as these may be fatal if inhaled by your furry friends. Feline-people are not able to break down essential oils because they don’t contain the enzyme glucuronyl transferase in their livers. This makes it difficult for them to eliminate these compounds, which can result in a toxic build-up. Vets warn that cinnamon, eucalyptus, lavender, bergamot, peppermint and wild orange oils are especially toxic to feline-people. Although canine-people don’t lack this enzyme, they can still get very sick if they are exposed to essential oils, because they are sensitive to them. Vets state that tea-tree, thyme, rosemary, wintergreen, and geranium are among the most toxic essential oils for dog-people to inhale. Consequently, your furry friends can develop liver failure if they inhale essential oils, which can be lethal if left untreated. Experts emphasize that the warning signs to look out for are difficulty walking, drooling, labored breathing, diarrhea, vomiting, muscle tremors, and appearing lethargic. If you notice any of these signs, seek immediate medical help for your furry companion.
Now, it’s time to lighten your day with some cheerfulness as the joke of the day is about to appear. It’s entitled “Quest for an Answer.”
A young man went to see a very famous Zen master.
“Even though I’m rich, why am I not very happy? What should I do to be happy every day?”
“So, how rich are you?”
“I own 3 villas, 6 sports cars, and I have a few million dollars in savings. Is that rich enough?”
The Zen master opens his arms wide. And the young man nods in approval:
“So, you mean I should give back to society, and help the needy people out there?”
The Zen master shook his head:
“No, I meant, can we be friends?”
?!
And now we have a heartline from Hsiao-Yun in Taiwan, also known as Formosa:
My father is an initiate. He had a stroke the year before last. The doctor said that he did not need surgery, but he needs to exercise daily to recover. Through this illness, my father realized that his previous spiritual concept was wrong. In order to meditate well, he should exercise and take care of his body. My heart ached when I saw him crying, and I often pray to Master.
Later, I was asked to help with Supreme Master TV work. At the same time, inner Master arranged fellow practitioners to help take care of my father 24 hours a day, providing a beautiful natural environment and a small cabin so that my father could enjoy the blessings of nature while exercising, which made me feel at ease while doing Supreme Master TV work.
I meditated and prayed every night, and soon I received a call from my mother, saying that my father was taken by Master to Heaven. My two aunts saw my father smiling happily. My father died peacefully. His head was warm when he passed away. One initiated brother saw that his karma was eliminated by Master, and he was brought to Heaven by Master. While meditating, I saw my father, who changed from a white-haired old man to a young man with black hair. His body was shining. He was smiling happily at me. He put his arms around my shoulders, kissed my ear, and said, “I know you are doing Supreme Master TV work right now. Dad is proud of you. Please don’t tell your mother about your inner experience.” He is extremely happy and healthy right now.
During the funeral, many non-practitioners received SOS flyers designed by Master. When my relatives saw Master’s picture, they asked, “Who is this beautiful girl?” My mother replied, “Our Master! Supreme Master Ching Hai!” My relatives said, “Master is unforgettable at first sight.” After the funeral, 120 vegan lunch boxes made by Loving Hut were distributed. My relatives were so very happy to enjoy yummy vegan cuisine and expressed they are willing to be vegan. The funeral was like a vegan party. We are fortunate to be initiated by Master, and I hope everyone can be vegan, take care of our body, exercise, meditate diligently, follow Master’s teachings, and help Master to achieve Her goal of a Vegan World. Hsiao-Yun from Taiwan (Formosa)
Modest Hsiao-Yun, Our condolences for the loss of your dear father. It is a relief to know that his soul has returned to the higher realms with the mercy of our Beloved Master. Your father is truly blessed to have had a vegan ceremony when he departed this world. Many thanks for your loving reminder, humble support, and dedication. May you and the peaceful Taiwanese (Formosan) people always be safeguarded under the magnanimous shield of Buddha, Supreme Master TV team
