I have a health tip for you. Did you know that you may be able to relieve heartburn and reduce the risk of acid reflux by sleeping in a different position? Sleeping on your side, particularly your left side, may help with this, because of gravity acting through the position of the digestive organs. Furthermore, there is a theory that suggests the stomach and gastric juices will be sitting lower than the esophagus when you are laying on your left side, thereby lowering the risk of acid reflux. It’s also a good idea to slightly prop yourself up using an extra pillow, as this will ensure the stomach is also in a lower position. The best recommendation is to take smaller portions for dinner and eat earlier in the evening, around three or more hours before bed. This helps ensure the stomach has had some chance to empty before lying flat.
The amusement archaeologists have dug up the following joke. How about we enjoy it together! This one’s entitled “Yummy Vegan Cake.”
A group of friends bought Joe a vegan cake for his birthday. When Joe opened the box, he saw “Happy Birthday to Nathaniel Alexander Leonardo” written on the top of the cake in thick cream.
Bewildered, Joe asked:
“Why does my cake say ‘Nathaniel Alexander Leonardo’? Did you pick up the wrong one?”
His friend replied:
“This vegan cake is just too yummy, especially the vegan cream. So, in order to get more cream, we changed your name from Joe to Nathaniel Alexander Leonardo!”
