My family switched from honey to bananas when we went vegan, and I want to share a story on bananas with you. I was being a bit greedy last week and grabbed the green bananas to eat instead of waiting for them to ripen. I munched them down, skin and all…! I found out the skins are full of natural plant chemicals that protect the plant to allow its fruit to ripen fully. As bananas mature, the resistant starch converts into simple sugars, rendering yellow bananas more readily digestible. Their increased glycemic index signifies a swift digestion process, and ripe bananas also exhibit higher antioxidant levels. Ripe bananas are great to consume if you are experiencing constipation. On the other hand, green bananas are recommended if you are experiencing diarrhea. Green, unripe bananas contain probiotic bacteria, a beneficial microorganism that promotes a healthy colon. Furthermore, they enhance nutrient absorption, particularly calcium – but remember to peel the green skin off first to avoid my experience!
The joke of the day has invited us to spend a cheerful moment in the hilarity amusement park, so let’s go! It’s called “Ernesto’s French.”
Ernesto came back from a trip to Paris. Everyone from his class knew Ernesto had been learning French to prepare for his trip. So, the first thing one of his classmates asked him when he returned was:
“So, when you were in France, did you have any problem with your French?”
“Oh, I had no problem with my French, but the French people did seem to have a problem with it!”
?!
