In today’s news, help for Pakistani and Afghan citizens provided by the European Union, melting glaciers in Peru threaten nearby towns, heavy vehicle manufacturer from Great Britain produces hydrogen engine, new black truffle species found in eastern Taiwan, also known as Formosa, given official name, United Arab Emirates students win prestigious award for their social work, vegan options increase for travelers, and sheriff’s office and American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals rescue 90 dog-people from appalling puppy mill in Wisconsin, USA.
Here are a few tips I’ve learned along the way on saving money. With inflation the way it is in today’s economy, you will want to tighten your belt wherever you can. Did you know you can save hundreds of dollars by renting clothes instead of purchasing them? This way it’s also more sustainable for the environment. Another good bargain-finding strategy is to sign up on mailing lists and check websites, where you can find freebies to exhibitions and festivals. For example, many cities offer free admission into museums on certain days of the month. This will be enjoyable for you and your family. Keeping track of your monthly bank statements to identify which unnecessary expenditures frequently occur is also a good idea. Be aware of these patterns and try to not subscribe to or buy unnecessary things. Oftentimes, you’ll realize you can live without them and didn’t need them anyway! Your bank account will show the results!
The good mood cinema is now displaying the joke of the day, so let’s join in. This one’s called “Customers Are Always Right.”
Seeing that his employee was arguing with a customer, the store manager was very upset. He called the employee to the back room and said:
“I have repeatedly warned you that the customer is always right! Why were you being so argumentative with him?”
“But sir, this customer keeps insisting that he is wrong.”
?!
And now we have a heartline from Cheng-Yun in China:
Most venerated and beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai, as Your disciple-to-be, I salute You! Dear initiated brothers and sisters of the Supreme Master TV team, thank you for your hard yet happy work!
Since I learned about Master’s precious teachings and the web address of Supreme Master TV through initiated brothers and sisters in 2018, I have known where my ultimate goal is. Over the past four years, Master’s teachings, all the programs on Supreme Master TV, and the spiritual books Master recommended have become the wellspring of my existence on Earth as if they were the air that I can’t live without for a moment. Thanks to God, though the pandemic has been dire, my vegan kitchen has still been operating in good shape for almost half a year now.
Master, Your wisdom, courage, eloquence, resoluteness and beauty... have won millions of disciples’ respect and admiration. I will love You deeply forever, follow You with unswerving faith, and keep a sincere heart always. I’m looking forward to passing the assessment for initiation, and I am forever grateful. I pray that all Heavenly Gods protect and support Master to remain in good health, have peace of mind, and have a refreshed spirit in this extremely busy life. May Master’s long-time grand wish of “World Vegan, World Peace” come true soon. Thank God. I’m grateful for everything. Cheng-Yun from China
